After the hooter?

When/how would the game end if you keep taking sidelines after the hooter?

Is that not a bit silly?

I mean, they've won the ball back and put it out of play - regardless of where.
If he kicked it into his own net it would be a goal.
If he threw it over the sideline, it would be a free.

But he put it out of play.  That's the point.

If he kicked it into his own net, it's a goal. Ball is still in the same play. I get that.

I mean if he kicks it over the sideline after the hooter, it's not a side-line. The game's over.

A silly rule if he kicks it over his own line.

Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on Today at 03:14:08 PMWhile that is also a fact, it wasn't the issue.
Ulster Colleges identified CPC played an ineligible player and took the title off them. No winner this year.

Would they not give it to the other finalist?

FFS...at school level? What's a ringer in this case (alledgely), an older player?

Be mad if this is true?

I never get this 'ringer' craic. Coaches are just depriving a 'proper' player game time.

:o apparently the opposite in the case.

Is there a rule about the minimum age a player has to be?

Never heard that mentioned before.

Me either.

I thought teams and schools, especially smaller ones would have to dip into the lower age/year group to fill out a team.

Have the bosses in HQ got nothing else to do?

What's the rule at the hooter?

After the hooter goes, if the team that's winning gets pissession, does the ball have to be kicked over the sideline, rather than the end-line?

Free speech is alright with people....until someone says something that you disagree with.

This is what the DUP leader Gavin Robinson said about Kneecap:

"Promoting sectarianism, glorifying violence and spreading division under the guise of "art" is still hate. Kneecap need to be investigated for their hate crimes.

If anyone else did this, they'd be in a courtroom, not a stage."

I kid you not - he actually tweeted this and us a few months out from July 12th.

You couldn't make it up.

Can a county say no and refuse to play final in a certain venue?

Quote from: southtyronegael on April 27, 2025, 11:18:13 AMOn another note I've been going to tyrone games for nearly 40 years and I don't remember our fans being outnumbered like that before. Must have been 8 armagh for every tyrone supporter.

Tyrone are the new Derry.

Wexford hard done by with the 'penalty save' by Fanning. Great stop but, from the replays, it looked as if the ball didn't cross the goal line.

The ref. was standing out at an angle gave the goal. That brought the game back to a draw. A crucial moment in the second half. Keith R. said the umpires, who were in a better position to see, said the ball didn't cross the line.

Regardless, a good second win for Dublin in a relatively tight game. They are ticking over nicely and O'Ceallachain will be happy with their start in Leinster. Galway and Dublin will now be a big game.

Lee Chin is some operator. Caught some puck outs - a great target/outlet for the long bll. Only thing is that Wexford ould need another Lee Chin. One time in the second half in a corner back position, he blocked the ball, football style, with his hands.  He had lost his hurl. It was like Superman. He missed a few relatively handy frees near the end but kept Wexford in it at times.

Kneecap come from West Belfast and are well aware what constitutes imperialism and genocide. I love their music too and I'm an aul boy...

I'm with Truthsayer in this. They ain't for being bought out, and it's their authenticity that will win over enough goodwill to make sure they draw crowds and fans everywhere.

Probably one of the hottest acts around, didn't 100k come out and take over the streets of Melbourne for them recently.

The minute they sell their soul for money will be the minute they will lose the majority of their newly acquired massive fanbase.

100% Bannside.
