How do Graiguecullen people feel about Clonad, Ratheniska or The Heath recruiting juvenile players from Portlaoise town, or The Rock doing likewise in Mountmellick? Because as far as I can see, this is the exact same scenario. Killeshin, as a rural club on the edge of a large urban area, did a flyer drop and put up a few posters advertising a registration night. They are 100% entitled to do that and fair play to them, we give out about clubs fading away to obscurity. They're trying to grow.

There's no gun put to their heads at the end of the day. Only promoting another option. There's enough children at home engaging in next to no activity and getting kids out to be involved in some activity is the main thing. Evolve or become extinct.

No Barry McNamee was over them last year but he's gone after only one year. Not sure who's in now

Gordon McDonnell & Denis Lalor is mentioned in Leinster club notes.

Last chance for Pogba over Christmas.  Forget about his footballing ability, if his attitude doesn't change he should be out the door in January.

Absolutely he's probably not the only one I'd be on to lingard as well. Footballer first never mind clothing sh*te. As Roy Keane said you can do that when you retire.  I'd be giving the captaincy to De Gea and go from there.

Comfirmed by Sky Sports Ole and Mike Phelan along with carrick & McKenna. You'd be hopeful the football will be at least more positive. Hopefully Pogba will stop his pr**k acting and play ball like he's able to! Whoever comes in full time needs to sweep out that dressing room. Too many passengers that are stealing a wage.

Someone like Laurent Blanc until the end of the season to steady the ship might work given that Zidane looks unlikely now at this stage. There is still a CL and FA cup to play for, top 4 is now very unlikely and whoever takes the job will not be under any major pressure as long as they play attacking football and give the fans a bit of excitement. Then go for Pocchetino in the summer

From what I can recall Blanc's teams aren't great to watch. As for Zidane don't want him anywhere near the club.

Why so?

I'm intrigued too....from someone who advocated for and tolerated that sc**bag Mourinho I'd love to know what's so offputting about Zidane.

Just think he'll be out of his depth, he did a brilliant job for Real Madrid but knew the club inside out and inherited a brilliant set of players; Comfortably the best starting 11 in Europe.

I'm desperately hoping a director of football comes in now, that allows you to replace managers regularly without as much disruption.

His familiarity with Madrid was surely a huge help but I wouldn't be as fearful as you on Zidane. Bar Larry White no legitimate contender will know the club well. Also - while the team/squad does need strengthening, I think it's nowhere near as bad as it has looked.

Director of Football is badly wanted though.

The sooner they get a director of football and keep Woodward away from the decision making the better. Let him stick to the commercial side!

Is there anything to be said for Steve Bruce  8)

Yes: I wish he was still at Vile Park.

I just hope they dont come for Dean Smith  ;D :

Zidane and hope can get the best out of pogba and martial.

Will be interesting to see who Utd get. It has to be a forward linking, modern style coach.

Any more amalgamation talks now that the Gaels are effectively dead? Colt and Clonad tie the knot? Trumera and Mountrath?
Clonad? Are you on drugs?

Say there'd be more of a chance of a regional team down the line than amalgamation.

Rumors of Gary Welsh gone also

Isn't he seemingly up in UCD now doing law. I imagine priority with that and come back after sigerson.
