the government bailing out the FAI  again. Surely John Delaney should be prosecuted for fraud? He made a tit of himself at the oireachtas. FAI give him payment for €500k and yet he is allowed to run off into the sunset without any consequences.  Surely FAI should have held off on his final payment?

is there even a garda investigation open?
when its now official that the affair has cost the country over 30 million surely some one must be held accountable and if as the auditors claim there were lied to then  an offence must have occurred,
with this latest present from the Taxpayer I would love to find out what contribution the FAI have actually made towards the Aviva out of their own money? have the paid anything , A number of years ago the FAI were Celebrating how they had saved 10 million by 'restructuring' the loan which just means they told the bank unless your write down the load your getting nothing at all.

He is being investigated by the OCDE.

The money to his partner aside, what fraud was committed, or is alleged? Bad management and corporate governance is not confined to the FAI, although it was a nuclear example.

Will he do time?

For what?

It would be nice for people like himself and the Anglo lads to be held toaccount, but as it stands, the only law I can see being pushed, if even broken, was his squeeze as a consultant.

.
the stupid money he was paid and they he ruled with an ironfist us the FAI's fault but not criminal but  if he lied to an auditor that would be an offense as it is a  company in receipt of Government money and any such lie would have tax implication, but according to my lawyer  he didn't do any of that surely

Lets try again. What criminal offence(s) do you think he committed?

In my opinion the only one that might stick is paying the girlfriend a wage. But he won't do time for that, if it even gets as far as the Garda.

What do you think is going on in Galway? No sports body is whiter than white here. We know what his obscene salary was because they told us. What is the Ard Stiúrthóir on?

Delaney was picked apart by the media, not any agency of state. Look at rugby, their press are muzzled and would never ask the same questions.

What government monies have the GAA mismanaged or wasted?
