Is Glass doing a bona fide degree or is he another perennial student like Jim McGuinness who had more degrees than a compass.

Probably legit enough degree if he couldn't go to university after school due to playing Aussie rules. Sure Niall Loughlin is about 28 but he also done a few years in Australia before hand

Fair point.

Doing accountancy. If he was like mcguinness I think uu would be looking their money back as he has hardly played a game.

"Money"?  ;)

Brendan

Legit course, he was speaking about it the other week on the GAA social, busy busy man

Glass is fairly legitimate as he was in Oz and came back but you feel there should be an age limit on Sigerson really.

He's a fine example to any young lad to see what can be fitted into a day. I've 2 lads at home and if you ask them to set their phone down to empty the dishwasher or the kitchen bins it's a whole drama.

Good point hadn't thought of that tbh. Think he was doing accountancy exams during Glens run.

Who were the last "New" winners of the Sigerson Cup? If Ulster win on Wednesday they will be the thirteenth winners of the competition according to wiki

??
They are new winners?

Yes - UUJ have previously won the competition but Ulster University is a new entity combining Magee, Coleraine and maybe a few other campuses.

Delgany 2nds

Magee Campus field in the third tier of HE GAA. Ulster Uni is Jordanstown / Belfast campus . Not sure if Coleraine have a team

gallsman

They certainly did within the last few years anyway.

Magee, Coleraine etc have always been part of UU. It's not a "new" entity at all.

Quote from: Blowitupref on February 10, 2024, 05:47:11 PMThe final on Wednesday night and number of players to play for their county teams on Saturday is far from great scheduling either.

The whole thing needs an overhaul. Currently not fair on players. County manager rule the GAA and continue to do so and the GAA sit on their hands. Sigerson simply needs to move before xmas and counties need leave the players to it.
