Where did you get the u16 gradings from?  There is nothing on the Tyrone Gaa website and no word on start dates.

http://www.gaeliclife.com/2012/11/27/exclusive-tyrone-boss-harte-wields-the-axe/

QuoteTYRONE boss Mickey Harte has axed a dozen of his Red Hand senior squad ahead of the 2013 campaign, including a number of household names.

A host of seasoned stars have been culled from the squad in what is the most dramatic shake-up the panel has seen since their 2008 All-Ireland win.

Gaelic Life understands that those considered to be surplus to requirements include Brian McGuigan and Owen Mulligan, while Errigal duo John Devine and Davy Harte have also been excluded from the 2013 plans.

The axe has also fallen on Dromore defensive pair Cathal McCarron and Sean O'Neill, midfielders Aidan Cassidy and Niall McKenna, defenders Damian McCaul and Stephen McNally, as well as attackers Peter Hughes and Ciaran Gervin.

The new-look Tyrone squad will gather for their first team meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday), and is expected to include Omagh St Enda's pair Conan Grugan and Barry Tierney, Errigal's Ciaran McGinley, Strabane and St Mary's defender Danny McBride, Newtownstewart's Kevin Gallagher, Clonoe attacker Conor McAliskey, and Kildress full-back Dean McNally.

By my reckoning that's no Dromore players left, one Coalisland and one Clonoe...

Cathal McCarron and Ronan Mc Nabb are still part of the set up and im pretty sure young Sludden will be called into the squad this year. So there will still be Dromore representation, need to think before you speak.

There will be a LOT of strange results over the next couple of weeks:

Ardboe v Eglish - Eglish to get points
Clonoe v Killyclogher - Killyclogher to get points
Errigle v Edendork - Edendork to get points
Kildress v Dromore - Kildress to get points
Galbally v Moy - Galbally to get points (Moy dont want promotion)
Gortin v Aghyaran - draw!

Someone should have told the Moy players they didn't want promotion.

HA HA HA HA HA how many of these predictions actually happened.  Moy must be kicking themselves now, did nobody tell then it said on gaa board that they didnt want promotion so it must be true!!  Moy will now more than likely go to Div 1 and see how long they can avoid relegation.

Moy don't want promotion?! That's bs surely. Your telling me some of the countys best players want to play at a level beneath them!?

I question how true this is regarding the Moy, they might not have a lot to play for and they are seeing the rest of the year out as their result against Aghyaran would suggest, after a dissapointing championship exit.  However knowing some of the personalities in the Moy squad and their management I would very much doubt they send a team onto the field to lose a game.

If this was the case they could do a Stewartstown and not field handing Cookstown the Intermediate League.  My understanding is that if Cookstown win the championship Moy should be promoted automatically needing only a point from Galbally failing that they will be in a playoff most likely against Derrytresk and after their championship game this year I doubt any team would be handing out any gifts.

Correct me if im wrong, I believe if Moy dont want to go up then they simply fail to field against Galbally

I would like to congratulate Cookstown on getting throught to the next round of the Minor Championship.  Just from the comments on this page you can see the arrogance in and around Ardboe.  If you dont pay by the rules then your out.  Referee has the job to decide if its safe to play extra time, he obviously thought it was safe enough.

At no point did the ardboe management have the right to overrule this decision, if a player gets hurt then you have to question the referee but the decision was his and his alone.

Well done Cookstown

I hear Ardboe have been kicked out of the Minor Championship for refusing to play the extra time vs Cookstown!!!  Right decision??? This one will cause some row, county board came down strong here

TYRONE IFC DRAW

Loughmacrory v Pomery
Clann na Gael v Gortin
Rock v Strabane
Eskra v Stewartstown
Cookstown v Augher
Urney v Killeeshil
Galbally v Aghyaran
Moy v Derrytresk

Some great draws in intermediate.  Cookstown are probably everyone favourites after Sean Cavanaghs injury wont get an easy time of it againsg Augher.  Rock and Strabane are both going well, some great ties, every team will fancy their chances with the exception of Killeeshil maybe their form suggests they will be easy pickings for Urney.

Division 2 wide open with the rock beating Cookstown. Moy looking very strong with a clear win over derrytresk, still think urney the team to beat in intermediate at present, next few weeks should be interesting

Urney were beat by Strabane. Moys challenge may fade now if Cavanagh's injury is as bad as everyone fears. For me Cookstown are still in the driving seat but with Cookstown vs Moy next weekend that will be the big test for both teams. To only concede 23 points after 5 games is some record but as everyone knows big Sean pulls most of the strings.

The only advantage of goint to 4 divisions would be the end of starred games!!  You will always get the big wins wether its 12 or 16 teams in the league.  The big wins are coming in div 2 and 3 as well.  I dont agree that all teams should compete for the O'Neill cup either or form amalgmations to compete.  A club should earn the right to compete at that level through league success

Correct me if im wrong but in Armagh Leagues do they not play each team home and away?  I know a lot of weeks they could have 2 games 1 mid week and 1 weekend fixture.  They would need to have a lot of games played at this stage if that is the case.

Well he would be looking into the forwards somewhere. So would the following:

Penrose
Mugsey
S O'Niell
M. Donnelly
N. McKenna
S. Cavanagh
C Cavanagh
R. McNabb
Matt Donnelly

plus up until recently Cooney and R.O'Niell.

I haver probably missed out a couple more but I don't think he would have started and 1 or 2 ahead of him on the bench. Just my opinion.

It is hard to answer your question directly as who knows who the first 6 would be?

Personally i would rate him miles ahead of Colm Cavanagh, also would have him ahead of Mark and Matt Donnelly, Niall McKenna and McNabb. Everybody is going to have their own opinion on this but in my view a fully fit Tommy is some asset to the Tyrone forward line both as a targetman or in a roving role around the middle.

You rate Tommy Mc Guigan better than:

Colm Cavanagh (Along with Coney probably Tyrones most impressive player this year)
Mark Donnelly (Pace to burn, frightens defenders, showing great form)

The others mentioned are all on the up and improving with every game, at this stage of Tommys Career he has peaked and unfortunately wont get any better.  He has been excellent over the years for Tyrone and will give Ardboe a massive lift to have him available, but I agree with EC, he has served his time, Micky has replacements available now

was derrytresk v galbally postponed last night and is pomeroy v moy postponed on sunday?

Yes both games have been cancelled.  Pomeroy have their Fight Night fundraiser this weekend leaving them unable to compete,  I find it hard to believe the county board can justify this as a reason for cancelling a game especially when the fixtures are already behind and with no games next week either with The League Final vs Kildare.

There will be a lot of mid week games scheduled to play catch up in the next 3 weeks id imagine

Not a bad player but would hardly call it a 'major blow'.

You must be some player yourself.

Have to agree with EC, Tommy has slipped down the pecking order and wouldnt have played much of a part in the first team.  Few of the young fellas have moved above him

Moy and Cookstown recorded impressive wins yesterday, they sent a message to the rest of the league. Pomeroy also had a good win this is a tough division to call.  What happened Galbally and Gortin? Expected tight games here

Clubs like Greencastle have at least 2 u21s in Warnock and Mc Cullagh who would be a big loss to them, Richie Donnelly is a big player for Trilick, Peter Mallon and Eunan Deeney are a key part of the Moy set up,  Harry Og Conlon and young Mc Curry are huge assets to Edendork......  I could go on, but for the clubs that do provide these players to the county should not be asked to field without them.

Not every club has the pick of Errigal Ciaran or Carrickmore,  I support the decision to delay the league schedule if the u21 management dont let these players take part.

The trouble will come if Tyrone keep this winning run going, can the county board keep moving the league back or do the clubs have to over-rule the u21 management and use the talent at their disposal
