just got the rules about inter club championship games, what a money spinner.

if you step over the line as the manager 400 euro!!!!

Goal Keepers not permitted to have a supply of sliotars in th goal area 500 euro!!!

8 weeks suspension should team officials make a derogatory comment during an interview including a fine

no puck abouts during half time, 400 euro

Clubs don't have any money as it is and are being punished by silly rules. this is not a professional sport. i know our cub paid out a sizeable fine each time they have played Ulster.

Just watched Joe Canning hit a penalty, he scored twenty one yard free earlier in the game, but he hit this thing like a bullet from a gun. is he the best at penalties?

 renovations to house, whats best?

with my mortgage lower now than every i was thinking of getting work done to the house. convert the garage to a room (it's attached to the house) and a sun room out the back. looking a good (cheap ;)) architect and a very good builder to carry out the job.

so quotes on how much the drawings will cost and an estimate on the building work.

I'd imagine (i hope) that prices will be better now due to the down turn in building work and the work wont drag out.

General discussion / the troubles i've seen.....
January 24, 2009, 06:08:02 PM
the other topic regarding the first news reports you can remember has got me thinking about this.

the troubles I've seen, I'm sure we all have some serious some sad and some very funny things that happened through the troubles. some may be distorted over time but I've some vivid memory's from growing up on the Falls road.

Gun attacks, bombs going off and gun battles in the streets, the funnier side being when the Hunger strike rioting was going on and i was at the shop with my cousin when a drinks lorry was hijacked. being ten we gathered up the coke bottles drunk some and threw some at the gable wall. heading home later my mate shouted to me that i was on the news, not waiting to find out what i was doing i ran in to tell my mum. we all sat down as i watched myself throwing coke bottles at a wall. a few smacks later and i was sent to bed >:( and was not aloud out for two days

GAA Discussion / need help.....
December 22, 2008, 05:54:16 PM
Was looking to know if any of the clubs have subscribed for Tax reliefs? I'm not sure of the make up but if a club registers itself as a charity then they can claim money back on money donated to them and cheaper Rates and other discounts.

During this recession all clubs are feeling the pinch, especially mine. We've asked about and it seems some clubs have done but I cant get any definite answers.
