I noticed that behind the Slashers there is a peleton of achievers with at least 10 titles. Surely Columbas will be aiming to get close to that target with this team.

I will wait and see if we can get to six first.

Quarter-finals:

Abbeylara v Killoe, Sat, 2pm
Mullnalaghta v Carrickedmond, Sat, 4pm
Colmcille v Granard, Sun, 2pm
Mostrim v Dromard, Sun, 4pm

All in Pearse Park.
Leader Cup winners: 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023.

Abbeylara 0-14 Killoe 2-11
Mullinalaghta 3-13 Carrickedmond 0-6
Leader Cup winners: 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023.

With Jimmy McGuinness rumoured to have tutored the Dromards we could be in for a tough one today. Not making any calls on this.

Killoe were made to fight for everything against a game Abbey side and face Mullinyarta in the semi. Mullinyarta are coming into good form so I think they'll beat Killoe on current form.
Carrickedmond were no match for them yesterday

Colmcille will come out on top against Granard.

LaurelEye

Colmcille 1-13 Granard 1-12

Colmcille hold off a Granard comeback at the death.

Mostrim 1-12 Dromard 1-11

Mostrim steal it with a last minute goal to continue their progress towards a Mostrim-Killoe final. 3 out of 4 semi-finalists from the first group with Mullinalaghta the only survivor of their group.
Leader Cup winners: 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023.

Shamrock Shore

Ha! I think Killoe are there for the taking and Colmcille must be a bridge too far for us.

It was hard on Dromard. They did more than enough to win. Sucker punch of a goal with second last kick of the game.

Next year the Gah are planning to.run off the All Ireland by end of July.
So county finals could be held in September.

Do away with the Jasesing inter county football and let's have more club.

You are right (for once) SS, it was of its time, and is now irrelevant.  If the GAA was what it thinks it is, grassroots would come first, always.

Honestly baffled that the team going for three-in-a-row are second favourites to a team who haven't been in a county final since 2018. Perhaps a certain female journalist has been shorting us with her redundancy money after last weekend's escapades.

Killoe have had a much tougher group and quarter-final than Mullinalaghta and are unbeaten in the league and should be comfortable favourites, really. Best of luck to both Billy and Shamrock/Insider for the first game.

Elsewhere, Clonguish dispatched the Gaels back down to Intermediate with ease, thereby removing the need to revamp next year's championship.

In most counties, club has decent competition
County no longer does .

It's the dream final!

Mostrim blitzed Colmcille in the first half (we had the strong breeze) and even though Colmcille had the wind it the second half, the mountain was too high to climb for them.

Mostrim's first county final since 1992 and one I didn't see coming.

The second game wasn't for the purists with Mullinalaghta's two goals late in the second half the sealers.

First time pairing in the final...........but you know at this stage what my prediction will be.......

Very quiet here...with the game for the ages this Sun.

PP has the Mullinalaghta boys 4/1on with Mostrim a solid 5/2. No odds on a draw!!

A good start is needed by us to have any hope..........but Mullinalaghta have the experience and the players to win this without too much bother. Every one of their players have drawers full of medals. If you take out the hurling I don't think there's anything with our lads........maybe a 'B' underage medal of some sort....

May the less-better team win! I'm sure we'll get he neutral support. Certainly lots of money in from Granard, Killoe, Dromard, Colmcille and Abbeylara on our Go Fund Me
