This is absolutely atrocious for Laois hurling. Minors were terrible as were the seniors in every game except the Westmeath game so I was really hoping to see this U21 team go on a good run in this Leinster championship.
Terrible result for Laois. What was the set up like? Was Shane Corby the manager. Westmeath had a same number of u21s in the Westmeath senior set up as Laois u21s had in with Laois seniors so why cant that be used as a driving advantage like in Westmeath.

I really can't see how any man can take on A county minor team and a senior club team in the same year. County minors nowadays train 4 or 5 nights a week at different stages. Anyone involved at county level should be focusing solely on that team to get the best out of them. Something has to give.

Fair point, well made. If involved at county level regardless of grade with the demands and levels of professionalism that go with it it should be your only focus and managing a senior club team as well could end up being a major distraction. It will take fair handling and time management skills to double job like that.
Heard Abbeyleix appointed a senior manager a good few weeks ago but didn't hear who it was.

In fairness then it's just Paul O'Shea from Abbeyleix as Carroll is from Kilkenny. Best of luck to them. Hopefully they get the very best out of the minors. Is Carroll still managing Abbeyleix seniors now that he is coaching the Laois minors or has Abbeyleix got a new manager?

Is James Carroll gone in with O'Shea with the Laois minors for next year? Does that mean Carroll is gone from Abbeyleix. Who is the new manager over Abbeyleix?
