Why in the hell did they televise this shite
I don't know 1 Armagh person who thought that would be a contest. Madden v Harps ended 0.12 to 2.6, but it was shite too.
I don't think Armagh club football is of a great standard but putting the 15th best team in the competition to promote your own club poor form from Burns.

What did Burns do?
I presume he has influence on this game being selected.
You don't know, but you are accusing him of poor form?
It's exactly why it was shown. There was literally no reason to show that match.
Because Burns wanted it or because TG4 decided to show the President-elects club?

I am just trying to work out if Butns made the decision as is being alleged!
I am trying to work out what possible reason TG4 looked at the club fixtures across the country, picked out Armagh and then picked Silverbridge v Shane O'Neill's...

Maybe they heard the president-elect was gonna be up a ladder fixing gutterin, or in a cherry-picker re-stitching the tri-colour. Maybe the Silverbridge nets needed repaired or quite possibly the posts needed a lick of paint. All valid reasons to get the cameras to south armagh on sunday for a celebration of Jarlath football.
Oh, and there was a dead-rubber game on too that proved to be riveting entertainment.

Cavan looks like a very strong ticket. Danny Hughes was also in the race apparently. He's quite good as well.

Based on what exactly?

Kinda thinking the same thing myself.
As usual (and this may be a wider point) there be hysterical eulogizing over people when the pass on and folk tend to get a bit over-dramatic.
And this isnt an attack on the person named on this thread, just merely an observation. Maybe an irish thing.

Finally. At last. An official sends o Neill off for something he's been getting away with for years. Petulant and irresponsible when his team needs him most. Typical.

Gaa social started off decent but it's definitely too heavy at times. The Francie episode was shite god love him being corralled into it. And is it me or does niblock blow a serious amount of smoke up guests arses, a certain degree of fawning whilst Oisin getting money for old rope riding shotgun.

He wont be along the line on Sunday. Just cant see it.
Assume moves will be made, someone will step in and i couldnt see him being allowed to be present.

This definitely brings back memories of the trial of Paddy Jackson and his chums.
This one is gonna have similar parallels; i can see it being discussed for a long time to come in all forms of media.
Unfortunately it will bring out the worst in people too when discussing the issues.

Derry better structured and disciplined whereas Armagh always liable to let themselves down. Derry should win by 1-4 pts.
Dont rule out a draw though if Armagh can keep the chest-beating to a minimum and concentrate on their own game.
