General discussion / Re: Android Boxes
November 06, 2016, 01:41:21 PM
Is there such a thing as an android set top box that has a freeview tuner in it?  I want a box that can record Emmerdale every night for the wife and has Kodi built in?  I'm looking at the BT YouView+ box but obviously you can't stick Kodi on it.

General discussion / Point & Shoot Camera
March 20, 2015, 03:18:15 PM
Can anyone recommend a good point and shoot camera? Just need something for about the house and family occasions. I bought a Sony DSCH400 bridge camera on Amazon but had to send it back the image quality was ok but if there was even the slightest movement from the pictures were blurry.  Try getting a 1 year old to sit still!  I don't want to have to be messing with settings, just stick it on auto and snap away.

Great thread, but a few captions would be great for some of the less well known photos.

Are you sure its disk space its complaining about and not virtual memory?  Go into computer, right click on you C Drive and click properties.  In there it will tell you the capacity of your drive and how much is free.

Milltown - I'd try to free up 3mb of space from somewhere to allow you to install ccleaner from http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Run CCleaner and it should free up a load of space from temporary internet files, memory dumps, temporary files, etc..  This might be enough to get you going.

General discussion / Re: Paisley
January 21, 2014, 09:52:43 AM
Paisley spent a life time preaching sectarian hatred and has brain washed those all around him into believing that having anything to do with Catholics was wrong.  He reaped what he had sown when he did the deal with Sinn Fein, those that he had brain washed now saw him as the lundy.  Hi friend Boal disowned him, the Free P's unseated him, the DUP got shot of him and the worst of the lot his local church Martyr Memorial where he preached for 65 years wanted rid of him.  Interesting that he described the atmosphere in Martyr memorial on the night he was deposed as sectarian.  That sectarian atmosphere didn't appear out of the blue, that was his own brainwashing of people coming back to bit him.

The fall out from this could be interesting.  Ian Junior's position is one element.  Also Robo/Dodds seem keen to leave it that Paisley is doting in old age and they have the correct version of events, I hope the media keep probing on this and we get to see who is telling the truth here.  Hopefully a lot more dirty linen to be washed before this is all over.

General discussion / Getting Programs off a Sky Box
January 14, 2014, 08:49:23 AM
What options are available for getting recorded programs off a sky box?  Ideally I'd like to get them onto a PC for safe keeping.

If I pull the hard drive and connect it to a PC what format are the video files in?

I'm hearing Sean Ward in the new manager in Bryansford.  Frank Dawson is going to Clonduff according to my source.

Huge effort from the Bridge last night, couldn't fault the lads they put everything into it.  I think last nights game will serve Kilcoo far better going into the final than Burren's walkover again Saval.  The two best teams are in the final and its a hard one to call.

I'm on Vodafone and get it now and again in the Newry area.  Its not that often though, probably one call in 30.
