Great result! I'm a Lazio man myself👍👍👍
Figures
Two endings off - correctly! Seriously bad tackles.
Only 2 Italian teams in the champions league??? Changed times..
Can Roma draw Dundalk? Want to wear my Lazio shirt with the eagle on and Di Canio's name on the back at a game in Ireland! Have been in with the ultras a few times at the Stadio Olympico! Mad craic altogether!
Serious implosion the other night.
DDR not for the first time saw the red mist. We are well equipped to win the Europa League but our defensive worries continue to mount.

We've won it before and we'll do it again.
The Great Man came on and won us the game today when we were 2-1 down. Two weeks short of his 40th birthday.
Grazie, Capitano.
Was in the new (well I hadn't seen in before) AS Roma store on Via Del Corso (near Piazza Del Popolo) yesterday.Really state of the art. Also came across a temporary mobile ticket booth at Spanish Steps

I was in Portadown the other day. Walked past a post office and a newsagent.
I'm absolutely devo at the news Florenzi had done his ACL, he is probably the best full back in the world at this time and he is a great lad and one of our own.
Get well soon, Alesso.
That'll give him some boost.
I see Roma's youth team are playing Cork City's in the UEFA Development League next week. From Lasagne to Langers
Big derby win today.
The Washing Machine scoring the opener and then proceeding to get a Lazio sub sent off.
Plenty of empty seats in the Stadio Olympico today. Not so long ago you couldn't get a ticket for this derby

Napoli up next in the league and Lyon then in the Coppa.
A mountain to climb now.

A very fair point
I am an Interista and no-one will ever come close as a bandiere in my book to Zanetti. I found the farewell ceremony yesterday for Totti very moving though. Whilst I have great respect for players who have stuck loyally to a club, like Maldini, Del Piero, Buffon and Javier, perhaps Totti is due even more credit for sticking with a club where he didn't even win half of what he could, perhaps should, have done elsewhere. The others I mentioned have medals coming out of their ears which Totti, and De Rossi has to be mentioned here also, doesn't.

Yes he has but when he was beating his wife and playing his flute he was a pumped up superstar who had money to burn and no brains to manage it or himself...and what's more he didn't care. He now has severe mental health problems and an addiction to booze and Christ knows what else due to his lack of taking responsibility repeatedly.

I'm no Manchester United lover but I can't help but think it would have been very different for him had he been at Old Trafford in the early stages of his career. Ferguson was the master at developing and looking after young talent and would have made sure Gascoigne had the right people around him. Unfortunately, he ended up surrounded by the very wrong people and his life went very quickly off the rails. Going to Italy was probably the worst thing that happened to him as Italian clubs expect, and always have expected, 100% discipline and will drop you like a hot potato if you don't meet those requirements. I think Lazio, Italian football and even Italians themselves looked at him and thought what the hell is this guy.
Seeing as this is a Roma thread though, is anyone else aware of the little ditty the Romanisti sang at him?
Ubriacone con l'orrechino,
Paul Gascoigne facci un bocchino!

Granted, but he was always seriously ill (mentally, in my view anyway), and those around him were not helping matters. Not making light of his actions, which were awful.

As someone who has always supported and tried hard to understand mental illness I would argue the point in his case it was more and educational deficiency and a reflection of his environment more so than illness in the early days. He was wept up in his fame from an early age and had very little guidance. Spurs was completely the wrong move for him. If he had joined United I firmly believe he would have gone on to be one of the world greats of his generation but he didn't and that's that.
Dzeko's goal in midweek was a thing of beauty.

Doubt if there was much malice in Gascoigne's flute actions. The impressionable idiot would have been just as happy to don a broad black brimmer and armalite that night for the price of a drink. More to be pitied than derided.
As for the wife, while all domestic violence is vile, when you chase down a millionaire footballer and end up mating one who is an unstable, alcoholic with your 2 kids in tow from a previous failed marriage, you've got your work cut out to establish a normal family life.

Translation: domestic violence is vile, but really like, it's her fault as she should have known better.
Schick is on. Hope he can exact some revenge of Juve after his summer move fell through.
Pellegrini replaces Strootman.
Florenzi hits the bar so close.
Schick spurned a glorious chance at the death, could be a pivotal moment in the title chase.
Roma will provide plenty more spurned pivotal chances in the remainder of the season.

Do Roma win these or other competitions much? When was their last win? Does this get them into the Europa cup or does their league standings do that already?

Roma no, Mourinho who I'm on about yes. Final whistle was all about him, holding up five fingers to the cameras and crowd. Two Champions leagues, two Europa leagues and tonights conference league he must see them as the same value?
That's just who Mourinho is. He'll never change.
When Porto won the CL in 2004, he rushed off the podium after the presentation, removing his medal and making a show of how his work with these lads was done, now it was on to the real stuff at Chelsea.
Its always all about him.
Since he is the only coach to have ever done this and the first coach in Roma's history to bring them a European trophy I think he is entitled to a bit of a celebration. People give him stick and rightly so for different parts and actions of his career but he is still one of the most successful managers out there and that alone deserves respect, no matter what people think of him personally.

3rd I'd imagine behind the Champions League and Europa League.
A trophy is a trophy though, plenty of clubs would love to be winning it.
