This sounds interesting. Maybe have been monitoring the GAA Board.  Dara Ó Cinnéide's new TV series looks at how science and technology have changed GAA.  Thank god of the RTE iplayer.

Interesting yes but I can't help wonder if some of these "scientists" are so reliant on stats that they can't see what's going on in front of their eyes. Personally, if I were to put a % on how useful all this GPS data is in the overall scheme of things it would be less than 10%.

Agreed. I thought to myself that there must be an argument for stats overload, or at least that they couldn't possibly be worth the time/cost invested.
