Didn't get to see it but heard Monterrey gave a good account of themselves.

Hopefully Virg back for the final and go full strength

Apparently he should be back.

Flamengo sound like a decent team, according to an article in The Athletic today.

High line, high pressing, a lot of movement between the lines and interchange of forwards... a bit like Liverpool it sounds.

Could be a cracking game.

Fair enough to take all the time needed to work that decision out. From a penalty to a free kick in, to no foul at all. Pre VAR, if the ref had awarded a penalty I doubt there would have been too many complaints.

How was it not a foul?
Afaics, the ref did not view the replay of the only tv angle which hinted to a foul.
But the issue of real concern in this game is the absence of the usual tv footage of lucious Brazilian female fans.

Will this Trophy be put on the wall?

Which was more important, to win this game or contest a league cup final at Wembley?

To the foreign players, this put them on the international stage!

The prize money for this competition is $5 Million. The Prize Money for the League Cup is £100,000.

This.

It may be fairly mickey mouse, but so is the league cup and Liverpool have won plenty of those, including back when it was taken fairly seriously.
