Watched the World News Tonight on ABC in the States and was reported that it will be when not if when it hits the US. Shortage on N95 respirator medical masks, only 30 million for Dept of Homeland Security and medical professionals alone would need 300 million. Did a google search for the mask near Chicago, all sold out. Amazon and Ebay are seeing 300-1500% markup on masks and will only get worse.

People worldwide will be hoarding every staple you use in everyday life till contaiment, there were armed people stealing toliet paper in China. This virus will bring out the worst in human society.

Rory's new longer putter was working well in the first three rounds. If he could hole his putts he would be joint leader, not three off the pace.

Brutal putting today, should have been ahead on 18 by 4+ strokes.

Seen 1917. In a film almost universally centred around 2 characters it's bizarre that Mendes picks two guys who can't act. Richard Madden is especially poor as well. Set design is second to none though.
I thought the film was excellent. Didn't think the 2 young lads were too bad but Madden couldn't seem to nail the accent which did jar a bit, but overall didn't ruin the experience as he's only in the film for about 5 mins. The long shot technique was impressively executed and the "sets" were outstanding.

1917 Cinematography was very good.
The story line was similar to Saving Private Ryan but not as good. There is a great story for the movie but did not come across on the screen.   6/10

Watched JoJo Rabbit and thought it was incredible. Taking a serious and heartbreaking scenario from WW2 and making it into a comedy-drama. The chubby little kid with the glasses made the movie with his few lines and would love to see him as a featured actor in a movie or tv show.  8.5/10

The Young Offenders on BBC3/Iplayer is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.
Set in Cork its about 2 wee scumbags who aren't as bad as they seem to be.
Very very funny.

After watching White Gold and Inbetweeners, my firestick recommended Young Offenders - funny show. You don't know if you want to smack them idiots or give them a hug, looking forward to the next season. Make sure you catch the movie, the tv show is based off the movie.

Barry on HBO is also excellent.

General discussion / Caring for Parent
October 06, 2019, 05:46:02 AM
After my Dad passed I am in charge of my mom and her wishes/care. It  is tough as you have siblings and other family members/family friends thinking they know what your parent/s wishes are when sick. My mom had surgery and I am getting feedback from other persons who do not know the short term and long term care requested. It is aggrevating as other people do NOT know what conversations we had prior to surgery. I urge everyone to get a living will/power of attorney for their parent/s or themselve/s.

With IPTV can you have multiple tvs showing different channels at the same time? Would you need multiple boxes/devices?

Can anyone recommend any handy, healthy meals to cook for evening dinner? Jaysus, it's such a feckin' chore rustling up something every day. Need some help.

My go to meal and it is Keto/Atkins friendly, healthy and SIMPLE

Garlic Shrimp with Broccoli
1 lb of shrimp (thawed)
2-4 cups of broccoli
3-8 gloves of garlic (depending on preference) more garlic better IMO
1 stick of butter

Put broccoli in pot to steam about 8-10 minutes ahead of pan below ( you can slice garlic now)
Slice garlic (thin) and place in pan with melting butter (medium low heat) stir for 3-5 minutes
place shrimp (pat dry with paper towel) in pan and cook till one side is pink then flip, same on other side
once broccoli is steamed place in pan stir around for a minute (on medium high) coating everything in butter and garlic serve right away, pour remaining butter from pan over plated food

I like a kick to it so I throw a pinch or two of crushed red pepper over the top of plated food and adds color

this should feed 2-3 people
should only take 10-18 minutes total

Easy and healthy and minimal cleanup afterwords

I would prefer Tuesday but definitely can't do Wednesday. Monday difficult but I can do it if absolutely necessary.

Tuesday would work for me, Monday is tough.
