Far too easy to get yellows in football now. There are far worse tackles in hurling that don't even get frees.

Dougal Maguire

Ref throwing out yellow cards like confetti.
Careful now

1st one - He put his hand on his throat and pushed him to the ground. He went down easy enough but it's still a yellow card and was completely needless.

2nd was a high challenge all day.

Not what I saw at all from what I could see the Corofin man threw the hands up and connected with his own player!!

Second was probably high and you'd usually accept it but numerous of those aren't getting called as a yellow normally.
The second was a high arm which made contact with the upper chest area, not the throat, despite all the clutched throat theatrics.

It's called Play acting

The day and hour teams are not allowed to pass the ball back into their own half will be a great day for Gaelic football.

screenexile

Corofin have been muck especially dealing with an extra man and people can talk about negativity all they want this kicking the ball back 40-50 yards when you have an extra man is the definition of it!

Ed Ricketts

Both teams have been dreadful. One of the lowest quality finals in recent years. Even the ref has had a nightmare.
Doc would listen to any kind of nonsense and change it for you to a kind of wisdom.

yellowcard

Horrible game of football, neither side deserves to win it.

There's that too but the ease in which yellows are given out encourages play acting.

The ref cost Kilcoo somewhat but they missed some easy chances for the equalizer
They get momentum, they go mad, here they go

Tony Baloney

The ref has lost the run of himself here.

The sooner everyone involved in the GAA recognises that the black card should be administered freely and often, it will be a great day for the GAA

Wouldn't agree with that. Kilcoo had 15 inside their own half a point down with 55 minutes on the clock. Corofin were dead right to keep the ball in that situation.
