BBC News - Kosovo's army dreamers enrage their Serbian neighbours
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-46551471

Headline of story in today's Irish News - Serbia warns of armed response to Kosovo army.

I'm sure the Russians will be watching on intently.

If that lot 'kicks off' again God knows where it will lead?
I've worked with lads from all around that region and the pure venom they feel for their neighbours is frightening.

Milltown Row2

It was a brutal war. Read couple books on it years ago but would be interested in going over it again, any decent books about on it?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

"Kosovo" by Tim Judah is very good. "Love Thy Neighbour" by Peter Maas is fantastic.

Like Ziggy above, have worked with guys from that region. The Serbs see it as far from over.

was meaning to ask the same question as MR for along time on here. Always wanted to read a good book that helped explain it all. I can't remember who it was on here who recommended "Goliath life and loathing in greater Israel" but it was fantastic. If any of the above are close to that then brilliant.

Fall of Yugoslavia by Mischa Glenny is a good starting point.

Bord na Mona man

If you don't want to wait for the books to arrive, the "Death of Yugoslavia" documentary series made in the mid 90s was very good.

It definitely is an excellent if grim series, but worth watching.
