Did Moortown not win 3 in a row in recent years. Possibly 13/14/15....

Moortown in 2014/15. Think Ardboe won in 2012.
Dungannon won in 1993/94.

Derg won G1 minor championship in 1989. Had a good team obviously, a few Cattersons, Benny Lynch, Aidan Lynch, lad Connolly......how come they never pushed on?

Dungannon won the minor championship in 89 beat Carmen in final and went on to win Ulster.

Was that a Gerard Cavlan inspired Dungannon side? Can not think of a single other Dungannon player to make county standard around that time.

Cavlan was not involved as far as I know. He played county minor in 1993 so didn't play club in 89. You obviously didn't follow much football around that period then if you ask had Clarke's any decent players. Lanky Kilpatrick and Danny Barr both played midfield for Tyrone minors, U21's and seniors in early/mid 1990's period.

Of course they did! How could I forget the Clarks finest of that era!  ;)

Cavlan was the Dungannon Captain in 1994 when they won the G1 Minor Championship against Strabane.

It would be interesting to see a tally of underage titles say from the 90's compared to success at senior level in the same period. Not sure where this information would be stored but I reckon Fionntamhnach could do a job on it.  8)

Can you go on back a bit also?

I would always pick your club as showing the inverse. Didn't Carmen lose the 88 & 89 finals and go on to win 4 seniors while the winning Castlederg and Dungannon teams never really came through.

I remember that final replay well.  Castledergs Winning point was actually wide.  Big Catterson was the man man for Castlederg.  Think he then transferred to Drumquin in later years.
