Anyone know, typically, how long that drop will take to be seen in home heating oil prices?

It fell recently before today but took a good few weeks for it to show in home heating oil prices. Yet the first sign of news of it going up they have the prices changed the next day. It's not a myth.

The petrol stations, with no people working at them i.e. self service, seem to be the cheapest. GO seem to be buying/building a lot of places these days.

Big one on road to Newry at The Outlet.

Quote from: trailer on November 22, 2023, 04:54:16 PMBlack Friday deals this week. Keep an eye out. Don't know if I could queue for hours to save £10.

And they aren't giving it away at a loss on the Black Friday prices. Shows how much they are sticking the arm in

We've all be climatised/brainwashed to just accept this. Same with insurance now. No coincidence that these companies' profit margins have shot up yet they still have the cheek to tell you their costs have risen. We are all being rode stupid.

Specifically, petrol is cheaper in the North, diesel is probably a couple of cents cheaper in the 26 counties.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Nah not at the minute. Diesel can be got for £1.37 or so in the north.

Christ! Seafoid will have a fit if the north is having a better deal on fuel

I was lifting the daughter from Lisburn and they were queued onto the carriageway at the one on the A1 and they were out to the roundabout at the Boulevard. I'll just go to the local garage tomorrow. Not queuing an hour to save 20 quid

At least the are doing it at night. There was one in the daytime in Armagh last year and a load of businesses complained as people couldn't get near the shops or keep appointments. The average punter would save a tenner with 20p off, not 20 quid so it's pure madness

Well the GO owners have made a no. Of million at this craic so they ain't losing money.
