No news on the team yet but a good result from Tralee general last night:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kerry boss Pat O'Shea received a boost on Tuesday night with the news that Bryan Sheehan's knee injury is not as bad as initially thought.
Reports suggested that free-taker Sheehan damaged cruciate ligaments in his knee while playing for Cork IT in the Sigerson Cup over the weekend but he could now be available for the Kingdom's NFL game against Limerick.
"Thankfully the injury to Bryan's knee is not nearly as bad as first feared," he told the Irish Times.
"After undergoing some tests it appears he has only slightly strained his medial ligament, and at this stage we are hopeful that with rest and proper treatment he will be available for us at the weekend."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Team severely weakened now with all the All-Ireland winning forwards out, Killian young out as well and maybe Tomas O'Se as well.
Resources tested to the limit now with an U-21 game on Saturday as well (Kerry u-21 without the Crokes players and they would have at least 4 on the team).
At least Declan O'Sullivan and Paul Galvin are back soon.
Still hopeful of a win.

Good news that Sheehan is okay his is very important for his frees alone, vital game again for us this weekend, need to keep the pressure on and the next 3 games after Limerick will not be easy, Dublin, Donegal, and Tyrone. Mickey Ned would like nothing more than to pull one over on the Kingdom.

Its a pity the U21 game could not be changed and with the Crokes players out as well it will test the strength of the Kerry panel espeically in the forward line, no news on the team just yet, Limerick are playing well and will present a tough game this weekend.

Will Kerry be able to field a team at all  ;)

Kerry Mike

Diarmuid Murphy (Dingle) ;
Marc Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht), Tom O'Sullivan (Rathmore), Mossie Lyons (Castleisland Desmonds) ;
Brendan Guiney (Listowel Emmets), Aidan O'Mahony (Rathmore), Ronan Ó Flatharta (An Ghaeltacht) ;
Darragh Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht), Tommy Griffin (Dingle) ;
Ronan Hussey (Capt) (Sneem), Eamonn Fitzmaurice (Finuge), Donncha Walsh (Cromane) ;
Declan Quill (Kerins O'Rahillys), Seamus Scanlon (Currow), Mike Frank Russell (Laune Rangers)

Subs:
Kieran Cremin (Dr. Crokes), Micheal Quirke (Kerins O'Rahillys), Bryan Sheehan (St. Marys), Pádraig Reidy (Scartaglin), Paul O'Connor (Kenmare), Adrian O'Connell (St. Michaels/Foilmore), Sean O'Sullivan (Cromane), Tomás Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht)

So there you go....Ronan Hussey starts what I think is his first game for the seniors and as the only South Kerry man comes in as the Captain as well, nothing like being blooded the hard way.

Very Experimental forward line though Quill and MFR should provide scores. Seamus Scanlon is an interesting choice at full forward he is more accustomed to midfield.

Tomas O'Se and Bryan Sheehan are in the subs but recent injury has kept them out of the team. Good to see Mossy Lyons getting a run too.

Am looking forward to seeing how they all proform, it is now a chance for alot of lads to take advantage and stake a first team claim for later in the year.  A bit of serious competition is good and fair play to Pat O'Shea for not being afraid of trying different combinations.

Another poor performance, the weather was a big factor. But we will take the win and the 2 points, 3 big games now with away games against Donegal and Dublin and home to Tyrone still to come.

Mike Frank with the important goal.

Another red card, our 5th in 4 games with Daragh O'Se taking the early shower this time, for two yellows after a few clashes with John Galvin. Keeping the head is a big problem this year for us, or are referees really just clamping down on small stuff.
