Quote from: gawa316 on Today at 08:59:27 PMHas someone offered 100 or that's what they want?
Offer was rumoured to be around 50. Doesn't make much sense to sell him imo

Quote from: quit yo jibbajabba on Today at 08:16:55 PMI wouldn't be using Antony and 80mill as the yardstick for much tbh

100mill. Jesus wept indeed
You're right. Didn't say he's worth it or anywhere near it, but that'd be the asking price or close to it, for a young winger good potential.

If United sell Garnacho in January, they are even more woefully short on attackers, clubs will know that, so where on earth do they go to find a replacement at anything like reasonable money?

Anthony was over 80...

Garnacho far from the finished article obviously, but plenty of potential there, where do United go to replace him? They're light attacking bodies and everyone knows it.

Quote from: lurganblue on Today at 08:59:24 AMAnge has to go today doesnt he?  The league cup has been the only thing saving him.

You cant go away to that Everton side and let them put 3 past you.  They've barely scored in months fs
Levy on this occasion is probably waiting for them to lose the league cup semi final tie before sacking him.
Better managers have been sacked at that club much sooner.
How many league games between now and the cup semi? Would you be surprised if they went and won it anyway? Same f**ker sacked Jose just before a cup final so unless he's learned his lesson from that?

Salthill will be nice!

Quote from: gawa316 on Today at 07:11:11 PMIs he being sold because of the 'pure profit' PSR thing or a combo of that and his attitude?

Are Inneos getting any grief of the supporter's groups?
Another sign of how bad the club has been run that they even need to consider that PSR craic. Should never be selling a young player who has reached nowhere near his ceiling. If he was at Napoli or Dortmund etc they would be looking £100m for him.

Quote from: Jeepers Creepers on Today at 06:09:53 PMAnthony to Real Betis on loan seems a done deal. Garnacho to Napoli story seem to be gathering pace. Interesting few weeks ahead.
Letting Garnacho go for 50m is bonkers. They'll not sign anyone to do his job for anything less than 100.

Quote from: nrico2006 on Today at 04:44:05 PMI find it crazy that so many people on here were fully aware of the allegations years before his ex-wife spoke out. Why did these same people not take any kind of stand or speak out? Or are they just chatting dung as I never heard a whisper of the allegations before.
There was rumours going about but sure how do you know what to believe or not believe

If Dara had been on the field all day it would have made for some finish. Anyway, hope the 2 lads are alright, read they'd both been taken to hospital.

They would have 100% known there would be huge issues and distractions as a result, even from within the club. Surely that was going to outweigh the potential benefits.

Exactly.  Never mind the circus it would bring, what about the major risk of losing half your club over this.  There are other good coaches out there.

But does that make it the correct call? Herd mentality. Look, all of it could be true, some of it or none of it, but don't pick and choose, as there will be plenty of emails or calls to plenty of clubs

As much as I like jarlath, fellow Armagh man and what not, I think this was wrong of him. Does he make a call now to a club in Armagh if they field a certain player??
Seems to be keeping the distinction between player and coach clear so I'd say he won't get involved there.

Wouldn't be wise of him to get involved in that one but who knows.

Wasn't wise of him to get involved in the Naas one either yet he did
True that. But this ones very close to home and I'm sure even he would have the sense not to start deciding who can play for clubs.

On another note, I wonder how many club players in the country have been convicted of serious offences (sexual or otherwise) served their time or whatever punishment it may have been and are currently playing?

Quote from: Armagh18 on January 19, 2025, 05:07:28 PMCanavan must have been bad enough when he couldn't have came back on, probably would have been the difference in the end. Tommy Canavan some baller too but that late free dropping short was criminal.

He had a concussion, wouldnt have been allowed back on. Agree with that free, would have brought it back to 2 point's

Is there an award for being beat by 3 instead of 4?

EC made some game of it in the 2nd half, they cam alive after Harte's wonder strike, sharp in the tackle, finally turning Cula over in the tackle and supporting the man on the ball. Hard lines
Well if that goes over would have left what 2 in it? Big momentum swinger if you nail that and maybe turn over the next kickout

Quote from: Mario on January 19, 2025, 05:07:36 PMHarte lucky to avoid a red at the end there. Not that it would have mattered. Definite punch to the ribs
He did get a red in the end umpire must have called it, not that there was much point at that stage

Ref pointed at it immediately and then played the advantage. Very good refereeing to be fair.
Fair enough didn't notice that. Pure frustration obviously.
