What criteria are the basing the divisions on?  its good to see Down at least making the effort to develop hurling after what seems like a complete mess up over that last few years at u14. was looking at the representation from the clubs and the Ards clubs only have 3 players on the squad, and they are all from Portaferry, with Ballyvarley 6 and Bredagh 5

Derry stuffed Down in the first match. The young cousin was playing.

i am delighted that Down seem to be making the effort to promote hurling outsdie the Ards, especially at the u14 age, lets hope this continues and that the nucleus of this group is kept together and moulded into a team. there needs to be a consensus among all clubs that play hurling on the way forward, not to the benefit or detriment of any club but for the development of the game on a county level, can this be done without the three Ards teams? is there too much rivalry/history/animosity between theses teams for this to happen? is there in fact and over reliance on the Ards teams to produce players? I don't know the answers, does anyone?

Maybe i should move this to the Down thread.
