See Jamie Bryson threatening violence, he doesn’t realise that they are no longer the master race,
Times they are a changing.
why is he threatening violence? Is the DUP not in power ?

Because he's not getting his way. Plain and simple.
It baffles me how much air time he gets. There are dissident republicans that have a much much larger mandate than he has but don't even get a fraction of the air time. I'm not saying they should, but there must be a reason this Muppet who has only ever managed a handful of votes is wheeled out consistently.

You think being gay is immoral. There is no point beating around the bush, pardon the pun. I don't think that sort of view deserves the credibility of an indepth debate, others can knock themselves out. I was hardly abusive, I called your views for what they are.

A sordid campaign according to you. You let the mask slip there a bit, but sure nothing to do with God or your beliefs....

Took the words out of my mouth

I believe that a campaign to undermine marriage, a fundamental building block of human society, is sordid.
God didn't tell me that.
If it's a fundamental building block of human society, why deny it to gay couples?

Why deny it to someone  and their mother?
The mother took the order, the son overruled her later.
Your giving him too much credit. That's not what he is referring to. If only.

Yeah because that's the same thing  ::) Tell me is there a significant number of people hiding in the closet who want to get off with their son/mother/father/daughter? Are they meeting up in underground nightclubs with other mother and son couples? What part of Armagh are you from  ;D. Here do us all a favour and stick your mask back on and spare us your homophobic bile dressed up as pseudo religious waffle.

Do you know what occurred to me after hearing the news today about our good Christian folk?

What a load of crud (insert any other four letter word you choose) religion is.

Just sayin'...

Same

Literally believing in Fairies/Santa/Easter Bunny

Madness

While this thread seems to be regarded as an opportunity for some to engage in gratuitous insults of people, this case has nothing to do with God or the belief in same.

This was a deliberate attempt to get people to endorse the political campaign of their opponents and that is the issue.

Kavanaugh is a liar

 https://youtu.be/4ccXpDhMmBY

The GOP getting poor white people to support him is genius.

It's possible that a slang changed meaning in 36 years.
Anyone with any sense can see he is flat out lying. Whatever about the allegations, you cant be appointed a supreme court judge if you have been found to be bare faced lying in your job interview. That's my opinion anyway, which I don't think is unreasonable. If you don't care that he is lying, and think he should be appointed anyway, then his supporters and republicans should just say that, own it, rather than looking ridiculous trying to explain every bit of bullshit he spouted.

General discussion / Re: Arlene's bigotry shines through

Arlene could be in bother after lunch, think she has just been set for a fall.

Dunno, they are all circling to throw Jonathan Bell under the bus. Making him out to be an unstable individual, who worshipped Peter Robinson and jealous of Arlene's leadership...  ::)

"Jonny" he was obviously put in the post to be walked over. Arlene knew what was going on.

Jonny is being fed to the wolves. It will be interesting if his "dossier" sees the light of day once this process completes and publishes their report.

Arlene knows nothing it seems and is keeping her nose clean. Ineptitude seems to be her get out clause.
Am I missing something, because other than smearing Bells character I haven't seen anything in the evidence that enables them to throw him under the bus?

No that wasn't my point. I think it's disgraceful, and all the bad press will be on greenlough and rightly so. However there has been numerous incidents previously involving screen and certain posters weren't too quick calling them out. One of our players was racially abused during a senior championship game a few seasons back and there wasn't a dicky bird on here about it. So forgive me if I take the condemnation with a pinch of salt. It's GAA wide problem that we try to sweep our own crap under the carpet.

Well that was eventful!!

For a game that should have been over just after half time we made horrible work of it our decision making up front was terrible and had it been just a little better we’d have won handily enough.

Greenlough never gave in and kept trying but they weren’t the better team and while the ref was definitely easier on us we were the better team and deserved the win.

Greenlough may have had a case about the ref being sore on them but you lose that moral high ground when players and supporters assault the referee... The County board need to have a serious look at it!

Won’t get to see any other games this weekend but we’ll have our work cut out in the semi we need a big improvement but glad to get the victory. Our work rate was excellent as well as our defence except for one lapse in concentration for the goal.
And of course you would say the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot.

I don’t take it serious and think of it as a pantomime so I thought it was funny.

Of course it was pantomime but what on earth could anyone older than the age of 12 find funny about his "performance"? The bit where he said "smell o' shite off yer da"? Or maybe the one where he called him a "do nothing ****"?

Nothing smart, nothing witty about it. Pathetic stuff altogether.
I thought the majority was cringey trash, but had a good laugh when he mentioned putin.

Jesus some of the Tyronies have gone ultra defensive, not surprising! Fair play to you Jinxy I wouldn't have wasted as much time on it. If you cant see what is wrong with it then I don't know. I don't think Harte is doing anything that controversial, it just shouldn't be done in this day and age when all work places, clubs whatever are trying to be inclusive. The Tyrone senior team is a shop front for the GAA in Tyrone and the country, and whether we like it or not the GAA would be seen as a cold house for some and things like this don't help. It might not make a blind bit of difference to participation now or in 5 years but that's not the point. It could make a difference a generation down the line, and how the same people who would rightly criticise the IFA or other institutions cant see that is confusing. I have made the same point about club masses. There is just no need for them anymore.

The modern football era can be divided into two periods, pre and post Jimmy McGuinness.
What we thought you were told by a jealous Pat Spillane was puke football was actually nothing of the kind.
I'd love to get back to the noughties-era football.

The naughties were a golden age of football, gone was the age of the hallion that allowed for football subimlity to arise and go forth

Ah the hallion. The monster who opponents both respected and feared. Also surprisingly skilful. Every team needed one or two. Big Seamus Quigley is as close as a modern day footballer could be.
Brian Gilligan would eat him for breakfast!
Can we have a Dream Hallion team.

O'Gara would run him tight tho.

He definitely would. I'm trying to think of a few forward hallions but with the exception of the Bomber and Dermot mc Nicholl i cant think of any that those backs wouldnt tear limb from limb.
You could play Vinny Corey full forward.

It's good to keep an open mind about lots of things.
It's not so good however to keep your mind open so much that your brain falls out.
;D ;D ;D Brilliant
