Quote from: Solo_run on March 02, 2025, 12:45:25 AMOut of curiosity why do people hate the goalkeeper being involved?

I personally hate it as a slip up can be quite costly but there is always going to be a risk in every game.
Hates a strong word but I dislike that even poor outfield keepers can play like a pivot man and allow his team to endlessly recycle the ball to him whenever they come under pressure.

Good 1v1 defending is enjoyable to watch but there is no reward for applying significant pressure with the keeper standing at the 45. There needs to be more of a repercussion for offensive players making poor plays rather than swing it out to the 12th man.

Unless we know the details of the initial peace deal there's no sure way to either criticise boris johnson for encouraging the continuation of the war or that ukraine f'd up by not taking it

Trump invites a supposed ally to the whitehouse just to berate him, odd times we live in. Zelensky done right leaving but a pity the future of US intelligence and support is looking all but over

Quote from: Ryan O on February 27, 2025, 04:11:21 PMPersonally team I would go with.

                 Lynch
        Bradley, McEvoy, P Mc Grogan
CD ,  Mc Faul, CMc Grogan/Cassidy
              Glass, Rogers
        Ethan,  Loughlin,  Paul Cass
         Toner,   Mc Guigan,   Murray

Couple lads there obviously only coming back to full fitness but long term and with no McKinless I think we need someone who organises middle if that defence along with giving Rogers more freedom.
Niall Loughlin will work his heart out in CHF with Murphy, Jody Mc D, Baker subs that are capable of doing a job. Anton tohill to full forward when needed towards end of any game has potential to change tactics.
+1 for that

Think people were asking the same questions about McWilliams and the downeys last year, I think we can all but forget about them gracing the doors for a while.

CD has a younger brother who racked up a lot of scores in the SFC, he might be worth a look in a couple of years
