I think the second motion is great, gives a longer season (I.e. starting earlier) some clubs only had a 4.5month season this year, makes every game serious, no overload of games I. July / August, teams with lots of county players still have chance to finish in top 8 or avoid relegation with the extra points for the last 5 games. And a team that has a raft of injuries mid season and finishes at bottom still has a chance to avoid relegation albeit a tough one. Everyone has a chance of knockout football before the championship And most importantly the league will be finished before the championship starts unlike the farce this year

I like this idea also but if Tyrone are in contention for AI then it gets messy.
You could see a scenario after July holidays where teams play 5 non starred games plus the play off games in top half/bottom half. That could lead to up to 8 games for teams.
This year we played 8 games after the July holidays and it was total overload and loads of teams suffered injuries pre championship which is not the ideal situation.

Most teams played 9 games after the July holidays and there was still league playoffs, semis and final to play. In this system 8 teams will only have 6 games to play after July holidays, 6 will have 7 to play and only the league finalists will have 8 to play and the league will be finished

McQuillan did not cost CE that game, would you all ever catch yourselves on. The fouls on Darragh were fouls. At one stage he was grabbed and swung around 360 and one of you was whinging about him diving. Too many CE names didn't show up. Ruairi Canavan was the best player on the pitch by a distance.

I'm not  religious. I  might only be at mass less than 5 times a year, for funerals, anniversaries etc. But I do miss the serenity  of churches.  In a strange way , I sort of admire those with  a strong faith , as it might bring a lot of peace , calmness  to their lives. Those quiet moments  during the day or in  mass , where they sit with their thoughts/prayers in silence.  Mindfulness is a buzz word these days , but these yoga retreats/meditation, off grid  holidays or whatever has in  effect filled the hole where  religion once was.  Mass/prayer  was a lot of people's mindfulness previously

Anywhere different I go , or on holiday , I always try to  pop into a church. Some of it for the architecture and beauty of the building, but  also just to take a  few moments  to just sit in silence with my thoughts. Take stock , mull  over a  few thoughts. Clear the mind. It does help  the mind and body to relax and  think about yourself, other people and about what's important. I definitely don't do that enough in daily life  as modern life can  be hectic. So I suppose church and religion  still has its place in modern life for a lot of people

100% the way I feel about it all too

Was in a city in China last year and they are light years ahead of us (as usual). Every vehicle in the city was electric. Cars, buses, motorbikes and scooters. I can't recall seeing or hearing a diesel engine, air as clean as if you were in the Connemara. There are chargers everywhere but they also have this concept where there is a booth that you pull your car into, something comes up under the car, takes out the battery and replaces it with a fully charged battery, whole process took less than 3 minutes and all automated. Obviously it was only certain type of cars (I think they were BYD) and owners must be signed up to a contract or something but technology like that when it comes in here

Missed the game. What was it like? Any stand out performances?

No real stand outs, Conan Grigan man of the match, Omagh looked the hungrier team and looked to have it won but for the goal at the end of injury time. Plenty of needle but all round a good championship game, Omagh will be gutted to lose it, Aidan Clarke done a great job on Bradley, Danny Gorman the same on Ronan O'Neill

Is Tyronegaatv working for anyone?

Is there any good spots to go to in South Florida, am going on a cruise from Miami but have a few days / week to spare also. Have stayed in Miami and Key Weat before (key west is very good) but is there anywhere else in Florida worth staying in (early March so the southern area would be better weather wise)
