I'm a senior player who recently fractured a bone in my face leading to no contact football for ~3 months. So basically I have 6-8 weeks of pre-season training before I can get back to team trainings so does anyone know of any drills that i can do by myself that would be good to improve stamina and drills for speed work. Any advice will be appreciated

Things I have done to keep ticking over:

Different energy systems hit by the following:

Run 5km fast.

Sprint length of soccer pitch, jog breadth, repeat for set amount.

Jog half Gaelic pitch, sprint half, walk breadth, repeat

Shuttle runs in and out.

Hill sprints. Big hill sprint up. Rest 2-3mins. Repeat.

Speed:short sprints high rest.
: multi directional cone drills. High effort, short time, good rest.

Swimming: sprint a length, breaststroke back, repeat.

Static bike: tabata sprints (20secs on 10 off)x 8. Rest. Repeat.

Rowing: tabata sprints.  Row 1k as fast as possible.

Boring and horrible but worked for me. Hope this helps.
