Suggestions?  For my 8 year old niece though that shouldn't matter.

Rois

Mathilda for a young girl.  Or The Witches.

Revolting Rhymes is very funny.

My ones always loved the Green Eggs and Ham book.  Must have read that over a hundred times.

For Roaldl Dahl i would have to go with George's Marvellous Medicine.

Box set of 15 books can be got for just over £20 on Amazon, good value as they can be £6/7 each.

some book fairs in schools are the same sort of money.

Never read a Dr Seuss book but read everything Roald Dahl has ever written and was fascinated by it all when I was a child. I agree with the box set idea why limit your niece to one or two when so many of his books are so good!

Difficult to pick one or two. I read every Roald Dahl I could get my hands on, including a book of short stories that wasn't aimed at kids!!!

My favourite and most lasting memories are of the Twits, BFG and Henry Sugar.

Recently another hero of mine, Tim Minchin brought RD to the stage with Matilda and I got to see it last year in New York - fantastic!!

Oh, and back on topic, BUY THEM ALL!
