Is the quadruple still on? Lol.

Mathematically,  yes.

PL was  always beyond United ,  but we could  see a treble of cup wins.  Which  would be a massive achievement for  TH’s first season

Fairly strong chance of winning both cups or at least getting to finals. Need a few wins to consolidate 3rd. Luckily the other contenders are shite.

It was called the plastic treble. The Mickey Mouse Cup was part of that. And I have to say I really enjoyed Liverpool winning those 3 Cups that year. Winning trophies is what it is all about.

Ten Hag wants to get after the refs this week, can see why Casemiro was sent off after initially winning the ball but once again it looks like United are losing a player to a dangerous scissor challenge which are going unpunished which is ridiculous. Walker Peters yesterday followed through with left after winning the ball with his right, no need to do that and Garnacho could well be injured.

Match of the day 2 didn't even cover any of the penalty incidents, nailed on handball by the Soton player after Rashford crossing the ball and there's clear clips online of Bazunna catching Rashford with his knee in another incident in the 2nd half. Both are very clear penalties; Andre Mariner on VAR yesterday as he was when Casemiro was sent off against Palace and on Saturday when he decided a blatant red card tackle on Felix wasn't even a yellow card. He's clearly incompetent.

International break coming at the right time, United are tired and would like to think given the 3 goal advantage he should be able to freshen up the squad. I still think in 6 months times United in the same position would be a bit further down the line and would still be able to beat the likes of Soton even with a man down.

Correct, and the one the utd fans up until this season made of fun of.

That was my final year in Uni and definitely one of my favourite Liverpool seasons. A whole student loan spent on going out on a Thursday night!

Job very much done well in a sunny Seville, as professional of away day European performance as you can get.  The added bonus of resting a number of players before Sunday's FA cup quarter final in that 2nd half.

Tonight was United's 45th game of the season for comparison United had only 49 games in all competitions last season and this year you can add in the winter World cup.  Finishing top 4 will be priority over the two remaining cup competitions and injuries to Garnacho,Eriksen and the 4 game suspension for Casemiro will make things all the more difficult.

April is going to be carnage as the bill for the World Cup becomes due. We are already seeing some outliers like 7up and Real Madrid v Liverpool

Lack of discipline day for Monaghan and Fulham
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

That was eventful Cup tie. For 70 odd minutes Fulham deserved their lead against weary United team in mind and body.  Penalty was a hand ball and letter of the law was a sending off.  Bizzare how and why Marco Silva and Mitrovic lost their heads and after that it was matter of the margin of victory for United.

Toughest possible draw with good Brighton side in the semi final and if they overcome them it will be a Manchester Derby FA Cup final.

I honestly don’t. think United are that further on  than last season.  Still  some  mediocre performances,  and it was the same today until the game  turned  on the handball  incident

Was hoping  United would get City  in  the semi.  The semi is pencilled in  between city’s euro QFwith Bayern and the title decider  with Arsenal.

April 20th - Sevilla (A)
April 23rd - Brighton FA Cup semi final
April 27th - Tottenham (A)

Tough enough with Brighton.

You seriously don't think United are that further on?

Last season in the league 58 points and 6th  (currently 50 points 3rd and 12 games to play)

Knocked out of the domestic cups in Old Trafford in the early rounds by a Championship side Middlesbrough and West Ham. (currently have one cup won and into the semi final in the other)

Last year knocked out of Europe by the 3rd best team in the La Liga. This year knocked the best team in La Liga out of Europe.

Had United lost to Fulham it would have been the first Old Trafford defeat since September.  Good/solid performances aren't to be expected when hit with injuries, suspensions and having come through a hectic fixture schedule. After this International break they could potentially have 19 games in 60 days, that's one game every 3 days for 2 months.  Whatever success comes from that will depend on luck with injuries and suspensions as the likes of Maguire,McTominay can't be relied on.
