Kilcoo have not been good champions at any level. Always something that puts a dark cloud over all teams and that's why and it pains me to say it Burren win today. Burren are a great club who respect all teams. Kilcoos minor championship team has been somewhat massively turnised with some disgraceful stuff on route to the final. I wonder who they take after
unfortunately sledging is part of the game now ,at every level,we even seen it in the all ireland ,was the kilcoo players sledging for no reason?did the bridge players  not say or do anything  to kilcoo players? I think not! Anyway it's the same old cliche # don't give what you cant take back🤔
Are you implying that the Bridge lads said something as bad to the Kilcoo lads?  A really hope you're not

Couple of big weeks ahead in the season...What's everyone's predictions for Saturday's games? Lots of permutations possible...

Rostrevor v Mayobridge-Surely Mayobridge will win that against a Rostrevor side that have obviously packed up tools for the year
Downpatrick v Bryansford-Both need to win, think Bryansford will win in a close game
Castlewellan v CPN-Castlewellan to beat the point handy, point surely bubble wrapping players over the next 10days
Ballyholland v Burren-Harps to win by 4...Burren have given up the ghost too, apparently they aren't training or anything.

Think if those results go to plan, that means RGU go down and Castlewellan would play Ballyholland in a Playoff? Would be good value for the neutrals if Harps and Hoops played out a relegation decider...If Downpatrick beat the Ford and those other results go as predicted, am I right in saying that would leave Castlewellan straight down and RGU playing Bryansford in a relegation playoff?

Are the point and Mayobridge safe enough no matter what? Head hurts looking at that league table...  :-\
Diff  Pts
6   Cumann Pheadair Naofa        9   18
7   Mayobridge                         -3   16
8   Bryansford                          -23  16
9   Ballyholland                        -49  16
10   RGU Downpatrick              -58   12
11   Castlewellan                     -54   11

I'm presuming the tie-breaker is score difference.

If Bryansford and Ballyholland get a better result than 'Bridge, 'Bridge will end up in playoff as they are all on same points.  The score diff means that 3 wins would probably put Ballyholland in playoff.

If CPN lose by 9 say, and bridge win by 4, 'Ford win by 24 and Harps win by 50, then CPN in playoff  :o

Feile is on in Connacht this weekend, so accommodation for any Armagh fans will be hard to come by. Also, there are games scheduled for McHale park on Saturday afternoon in Feile

I see the U16.5 All Ireland Final involving St Colmans is down to be played at the National GAA Centre in Abbotstown.  Never been there but a quick search shows that there isn't much of a stand at it (maybe only 200 seats) and no banking around the pitch.  I know the game might only draw 6 or 700 people, but it seems like a strange venue.  Spectators will be stretched out around the fence and it won't have the atmosphere you would associate with a colleges game.

Have Armagh changed their age groups for this year?  U14 is now U14.5 etc.  Heard that and was wondering if it is coming in.  Does it mean U16 is U16.5 and Minor is U18.5?

That's correct Rory. Seems to be following the school years now the way it is up to U12

Personally, I think this is the best way to go.  Fellas get to play with their school year all the way up instead of being split every other year from their peer group and it means that Minors have that extra half year to play at that level (instead of old 7th years having to play adult football)

Although, how does this fit in with the current Croke Park thinking that U17 should be Minor.  Armagh are basically going in the opposite direction.  I've never been a fan of the U17 thing.  I look at some lads who would be moving in to adult football after U17 and think they'll be lost as they haven't matured physically to deal with it and will probably quit.  I know counties are meant to have U20 leagues to keep these kind of boys going, but I can't see those leagues working as a lot of clubs will have 18, 19 and 20 year olds playing for their adult teams and the U20 teams would struggle for numbers.

Think this is a great decision by Armagh.

I'm hearing we're moving to U13/U15/U17 in 2020, anyone else hear that as well?

Would this not have to be a motion for the County Convention?  No mention of it in the motions published

Duke and Gonzaga live on ESPN right now, No 1 vs No 3.

Sounds like it was an absolute classic.  89 - 87 to Gonzaga.  Duke missing a lot of shots in the last minute to tie it.

Be interesting to see how far he can go.  He'll be a star in College and hopefully can be an NBA starter too.....

If (and hopefully when) we sign a decent keeper would you sell Mignolet or Karius (or both)?

Ramadan could be a major factor on Mo in the final.  Sunrise in Kiev on the 26th is at 5am so he'll have been up and eaten by then.  He'll then fast until roughly 9pm (no food or water).   Game kicks off at 9.45 local time, so he'll have about 45 minutes to get hydrated before the game.
I read somewhere that he struggled back in his Chelsea days during pre-season that fell in Ramadan.
Hopefully he has gotten more used to it now, but it's still a worry.

I see Free Sports are showing Dublin v Offaly and Cork v Kilkenny this Saturday.

Looking through their schedule, they look to be showing highlights of games in the following weeks starting at midnight on the Sunday morning.  They are connected to Premier Sports in some way, so they are only showing this weeks games live and are saying that the rest of the games will be live on Premier sports.

Found this interesting:

Did you know this?
Aug 14, 2016- Colin Kaepernick sits for the national anthem.....and no one noticed
Aug 20th, 2016- Colin again sits, and again, no one noticed.
Aug 26th, 2016- Colin sits and this time he is met with a level of vitriol unseen against an athlete. Even the future President of the United States took shots at him while on the campaign trail. Colin went on to explain his protest had NOTHING to with the military, but he felt it hard to stand for a flag that didn't treat people of color fairly.
Then on on Aug 30th, 2016 Nate Boyer, a former Army Green Beret turned NFL long snapper, penned an open letter to Colin in the Army Times. In it he expressed how Colin's sitting affected him.
Then a strange thing happened. Colin was able to do what most Americans to date have not...
He listened.
In his letter Mr. Boyer writes:
"I'm not judging you for standing up for what you believe in. It's your inalienable right. What you are doing takes a lot of courage, and I'd be lying if I said I knew what it was like to walk around in your shoes. I've never had to deal with prejudice because of the color of my skin, and for me to say I can relate to what you've gone through is as ignorant as someone who's never been in a combat zone telling me they understand what it's like to go to war. Even though my initial reaction to your protest was one of anger, I'm trying to listen to what you're saying and why you're doing it." Mr. Boyer goes on to write "There are already plenty people fighting fire with fire, and it's just not helping anyone or anything. So I'm just going to keep listening, with an open mind. I look forward to the day you're inspired to once again stand during our national anthem. I'll be standing right there next to you."
Empathy and understanding was shown by Mr. Boyer.........and Mr. Kaepernick reciprocated. Colin invited Nate to San Diego where the two had a 90 minute discussion and Nate proposed Colin kneel instead of sit.
But why kneel? In a military funeral, after the flag is taken off the casket of the fallen military member, it is smartly folded 13 times and then presented to the parents, spouse or child of the fallen member by a fellow service member while KNEELING.
The two decided that kneeling for the flag would symbolize his reverence for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice while still allowing Colin to peacefully protest the injustices he saw.
Empathy, not zealotry under the guise of patriotism, is the only way meaningful discussion can be had. Mr. Kaepernick listened to all of you that say he disrespects the military and extended an olive branch to find a peace.
When will America listen to him?

The 'Magic Number' for the Tories is 325 as the speaker doesn't vote.
If Sinn Fein win 4 seats, the magic number becomes 321 (as they don't take their seats)
Exit poll says 314 + 8 DUP = 322

Scary scenario....

1-18 to 0-9 to UCD.  some second half from UCD by the sounds of things.
