Hi,
I had a bit of a prank with a fence and cracked the paint on my bumper. some of it has flaked off.
Is there anyway i can prevent it from further chipping off?
Can i use a clear Laquar over it or something??

I spoke with the owner after me, he sold it on but cannot recall to whom, they did not register it so it was not on the road with tax or insurance after 1993. The fact that it was a motorcycle in the west of Ireland, I was hoping it was left in a shed and is still there.

Unfortuntely it may have been used for parts.
Cant see someone buying it and never doing anything with it.

Anyone know of any bars in Edinburgh that might show the match?

i used to Live in Edinburgh and i spent many a sunday afternoon in Ryans Pub at the end of Princes Street below the castle.
Good pints and great Grub.
Isnt the egg chasing on in Edinburgh this weekend though?
Just ask the lad behind the bar to stick it on to Setanta.

Boys, no harm to ye but i couldnt give a flyin f**k what they be wearing out on the field, as long as they put in the required effort whether it be training or playing field, and they represent Down in a positive light on and off the field.
Seriously, some of you boys would want to give over whinging. Ye have little to be worried about if that sort of stuff is annoying ye.
Its 2011 and if amateur athletes cant have personnel preferences when it comes to their choice of undergarment or training-wear for their own reasons be it vanity, comfort, superstition or placebo then i for one give up. Nobody is de-facing or de-valuing the county colours or crest in any way.

I dont think anyone is worrying about it. I was just making a point and wondering was i the only one that noticed. It is a bit strange though that a uniform kit isnt wore.
But that yella yoke is minging

Hope the Armagh management don't decide to launch high balls in on top of Swift again as I'd imagine that would be right up Dan Gordon's street. I'd isay that the Down defence will surround Stevie like they did last year (a tactic that was helped enormously by the fact that we went down to 14). It's up to us to figure a way round this.

Couldnt hold him in the League Final, he murdered Down that day.

just a general query lads. Do Down have a kit man?
they must be the only county team in the country that dont all wear the same Kit.
Even for the All Ireland final they looked like they all brought their own kit.
I know it makes no difference on the scoreboard and is a bit petty. But can they not get matching shorts and Socks.
I see Clarke prefers the hooped socks.
Like is it too much to ask to wear a matching kit, they arent a junior club with no money.
also when will the county board get rid of that horrible yellow thing they had to wear in the All Ireland final. I know its the ulster colours but really how many counties bother with that anymore.
Its disgusting. Bring out an all black strip for such occasions.
fcuk me it aint rocket science.

there definitley was a kitman, sure didn't he get stopped in the van driving it on red diesel  :D

your right. Ha Ha. sure how can the county afford matching kits when the cant even afford the right fuel.

i have been to quite a few stags.
Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester were all excellant in england.
Abroad went to Riga Prague and Barca.
Barcelona is crap for a stag. Prague is great, Riga middlin.
Lived in Edinburgh a fantastic city, especially during festival in August, open all hours
At Home been to kilkenny, letterkenny, Galway, Carrick, Westport and Carlingford.
all fantastic spots,
Worst one was Definetly Barcelona, went to Nou Camp on sat night totally ruined the night everyone sobered up during game and were all bollaxed by time got back to city.

I think this is a bit over the top. Retaliation for a bottle thrown at them.(obviously should not have been thrown back) and someone throwing a flare onto the sideline of the pitch are hardly serious incidents
I have been to a lot of College games in my time and i dont recall anything worth talking about.
These are kids.Like a load of young bulls, full of testosterone and probably a couple of cans of Harp. (although i cant verify that all young bulls in south down and Armagh drink harp) ;D
Its the aul fellas at croke park after the leinster final and the kn0bs that attack referees for making bad decisions in club matches that deserve to be slated.

Down were very poor on Saturday night. totally ran out of steam with 15 to go. If Mcveigh had the cop on to avoid the middle with his kick outs Down would have won the game.
They didnt look near match fit.
Hard to believe McKernan is an all star after that performance.
Could be a short summer, Down rarely put 2 good ones back to back.
But i will pass judgement when we get close to our best 15.
Sooner Ambrose is back and Big Dan is moved back to the middle the better.

Good post Snoopdawg!

Except for:

1. Down played some good stuff in the first half hence the lead? And they did'nt run out of steam in the last 15 - more a case of they couldnt win a ball around the middle in the 2nd half and could have snatched a late winner (as could Mayo of course)

2. McVeigh is an allstar - just let him do his thing. The lads out the field are just as accountable when it comes to not winning kickouts.

3. With regards players being match fit, its only February and in the end Down were as fit as Mayo.

4. McKernan is not an allstar. And the GPA one is null and void cos we don't recognise the GPA remember? Anyway McKernan had a great summer last year - everyone can have a bad game now and again.

5. "Could be a short summer, Down rarely put 2 good ones back to back.
But I will pass judgement when we get back to our best 15 " And the award for supporter of the year goes to.........
It's nice to see your not making any judgements (as per usual)

6. Yes it will be great to get Amrose back. But it will take time for him to recover from yet another serious injury and it may be next summer before he reaches the form of last year providing he makes a good recovery. And big Dan will stay in full back as in his short time there he has proved to be the best No.3 we have had for years. He has done well on some of the countries top forwards and also put an end to our problems with the high ball.

But apart from the above, good post Snoop.

just my opinion Joe

I do believe we would be better served with Dan in the middle though.
Yes he is great under the high ball, but i would say Peter Fitzpatrick or Kalum King would be just as effective at 3.
I feel a player of Dans class should be played in his best position and that is midfield.
If he had been moved up sooner in the AI final we may have got at least a replay.
But just my opinion.
I pray we have as good a summer as last year, An Ulster title would be nice.
