GAA Discussion / Re: Ulster Club SFC 2023

Great contest, a credit to both teams. I thought the ref was grand over all, let the game flow well. The free at the end was incredibly soft, but one Richie got earlier was on the soft side too. A few of those Trillick players have had a massive championship. Ruairí Brennan playing the best football of his career. It will be interesting to see if Seánie O'Donnell can make the break through and have an impact at county level

I think young Daly got it. I would have given it to Seánie O'Donnell or Richie I think, but Trillick had plenty of candidates

Big big performance from Trillick, fully deserved it and were the better team in both normal and extra time. Had a hunger that Errigal just couldn't match and were very well set up to play on the counter. Their young players especially stood up today, O'Donnell, garrity and the Grey's as well as the more experienced Richie and ruarí Brennan

Drop or no. A deserved red card
Exactly, it's absolutely a red. He knew what he was at and it's extremely dangerous

Jez, How is that not a card of any type?

Fossa like all kerry teams masters of the tactical fouling seemed to be exempt from cards. Referee didn't book Fossa for 2/3 high tackles. Harps frustration with referee grew as game went on. No excusing them red cards. The lad that elbowed P.Clifford should receive a heavy suspension.

The reality is he prob wont serve any suspension at all. Disciplinary process is a mess

Stewartstown went behind by 3 in the period they were a man down. Stupid Red by number 3.
The yellow for Fossa just after it was correct, a clumsy high tackle.

24 deserved his red as did Paidi Clifford, based on the first sending off.
David Clifford's 2nd yellow was correct also. I didn't see what  Stewartstown's 5 did or what Garth Devlin got his 2nd yellow for. Devlins first yellow was a bit soft.

He maybe could have given him a yellow for the first red, there was nothing in it, but at the same time very very stupid and can't really have many complaints.i do hate seeing players make a meal of things like that though.
The clothesline tackle I thought was a red, or at least borderline. He can count himself very lucky.
The Coyle one was an awful challenge, a real jawbreaker. Paudie Cliffords was a correct call too imo, and the second yellows prob correct too.
Overall a tough day for the ref but you could argue he got all 6 red cards correct.

Why was the late EC goal disallowed?  Seems like they were screwed between that and the first goal.
Square ball? Although I've no idea what the correct rule for that is these days.

Yeah player in square before pass made.

I didnt think he was. There was a player in the square before the pass, but not the goalscorer.

On what grounds did Liam Rafferty get his red card  rescinded?

Stewartstown putting Strabane to the sword.

Stewartstown for the All Ireland Junior? Won't be far away this time

Begs the question, how did they end up in this division

Clarshack will be talking up Aghaloo or Derrytresk as favourites for the final  ;D

Aghaloo could rack up a bigger score tomorrow evening and they also beat us in the IFC Final in 2005.
Aghaloo will beat Derrytresk comfortably.

What was No10 thinking there for Kileeshil? Imaging doing something so stupid in a do or die situation. That free went from a 20% chance to an 80% chance with that.

Killeeshil unlucky could have had a penalty in extra time.. did galbally only score one point from play?

Galbally off the hook a bit tonight. Felt the ref did killeshill no favours overall, but they will b'é disappointed not to see it out.

The draw is ok. It could have been better or worse. The only concern Liverpool have is the form they are in they won't beat anyone. We need to improve.
Its not an easy group, but youd still expect liverpool to win it.
Its quite kind with the travel distances which is a big thing with a packed fixture schedule.

Lots of doom and gloom and gross exaggeration/panic going on here. You do realise that this team that all of a sudden is so 'old and tired' hasn't lost a PL game in 9 months? Did the players only get old and tired in the last week?

It's a blip, a big one given last nights performance. But far from a crisis. A few bodies back gives a little more depth and things will turn. You don't turn into a bad team overnight. Periods of poor form happen. It's natural. Having said that I do agree a midfielder is needed more so due to injury proneness rather than lack of quality or age.

Agree with all that.
Its mad how quickly the nartaive turns after one bad defeat, 3 games into the season.
This city team leaves very little room for error, but there has been a massive overreaction to the start to the season.
United looked a busted flush up until monday night, now all of a sudden they are on the way back  :-\

What are anyone's experience with A2W heat pumps?
I have read such mixed views on them. I would really like to go that route but struggling to justify the extra expense v an oil burner.
What are the running costs like?
I am based in the north btw

From where? If I listen to the oul fella i'd would have built a cave as there would be nothing to go wrong  :D
Sounds like my missus. Doesn't matter what car manufacturer is mentioned but she has heard from such and suchs cousin they they had bother with said brand of car therefore they must be a terrible car and aren't to be touched.
;D sounds familiar
