Down / Re: Down Club Hurling & Football

last nites performance was brutal to say the least, but there were 11 changes since sunday

the fact they kicked 20 wides at least shows that chances were being created

thought niall branagan and niall mcparland were best for down, both tried hard in defence and tried to set up runs when the ball broke, thought branagan came out of defence well on 5 or 6 occassions in the first half

watched the game on sunday past what is gonna become of Nani at the end of the season??

i think he has loads of potenial but cant seem to get going Ronaldo was a slow starter too only real killer performance that stands out in his first season was against Millwall in FA cup final hardly world class opposition

does anybody think he has anything about him or is he just a pretender?

i am not an experienced gambler at all

but done a bit of research today and yesterday humped on a few bets and am down money bout £30.00 on 1st two races

i put money on to win and one each way

my next two, are 1 each way and one on the nose about £45 altodther

is this the wrong way to go about having a flutter, i hear talk of yankees and doubles and acculators but i understand none of it

would i be better picking a few and spreading less money??

i no anytime work is slack with me or i have time i be straight out to the farm

they say the best thing to do when out of work is to keep as active and focused as possible and not to fall into the trap of daytime tv etc.....

just a thought

General discussion / Re: Dunphy -a decent guy

the way i see it is Dunphy didn't need to take a pay cut however signicant or insignificant it is compared to what he still earns in a year.

i know if someone was given the push in the company i work in there would not be too many offering 10 % of their wages (prob myself included)

i believe Dunphy is showing that he is not above the ordinary man in the street and that he actually cares about the people who watch or listen too him, he should be commended for this gesture

i cant see too many more following suit
