Quote from: marty34 on July 08, 2024, 10:09:12 AMThis is my final point on this issue. I see Eastwood and Hanna are giving out, complaining about the recent election and what people are saying about them standing/not standing in certain areas.

Now the key thing is that Eastwood wanted to stand everywhere to add to their percentage vote - as he knows that he's failing badly as their leader. People will say well, that's his job, isn't it? But he's not a team player - other parties stood aside in certain areas to aid progressive candidates. They didn't, regardless of who they put up. That's the difference.

Now SDLP and Hanna got a free run in south Belfast and MD but they didn't recipocrate anywhere.  A few people on here are complaining saying, as above, why should they but they did it in north Belfast at the last WM election.  That's my point.  Why do it the last time but not this time? It suited them the last time - as I say, not a team player.

Isn't it ironic that any questioning/debate on this is labelled sectarian and trolling etc. by the SDLP whereas in the weeks before the election, they were joining in on the unionist/Nolan pile on on Pat Cullen in FST? The SDLP are spoofing about nationalist parties working together while a few days ago they put up pictures of a candiate V an empty chair (i.e. not taking seats in London). Their candidate in Newry area alledgely talking about putting stickers on a donkey.  How ironic? Ah well, at least it wasn't a crocodile!

Anybody with any savvy can see what this is all about.  This is a deflection from the SDLP's, and by extension, Eastwood's poor leadership. This is what this is all about - deflection by Eastwood and Hanna. But they'll be grand on the green benches.

Aye, and when they are finally fucked out on their ears no doubt they'll join Baroness Ritchie of West Britainshire on the red benches.

Quote from: Pub Bore on July 05, 2024, 09:19:37 AMOne interesting thing was the BBC starting a narrative that SF hadn't got the vote out in FST.  It was yer man Julian based on a couple of boxes open from around Dungannon.  Mark Carruthers and Deirdre "Aren't I gorgeous" Heenan latched on to it and started criticising SF for parachuting a "celebrity candidate" into FST and that SF's focus had been too much on the South.  Very strange.

Yeah, Fowler was literally bouncing with excitement making that announcement early doos and the studio thn latching on to it.

They interviewed he 5 mins later, and by her chat, tou'd thought she'd won it by a landslide.

It's all about demographics now.

Armstrong taking the BBC's word on the result and basically celebrating the win before all the boxes had been opened, Col Blimp insulting the blue rinse brigade in Bangor for having the audacity not to elect him and his Rolls-Royce, and Ian og finally getting his comeuppance... what a night. f**k the DUP!!!

How's about one last Covid party just for old times sake?

Two Tory scumbags really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Quote from: red hander on June 22, 2024, 09:54:27 PMClive Tyldesley on ITV, what a f**king dose with McCoist licking his hole. Hagi, "part of Steven Gerrards' invincibles at Rangers". Away and f**k off you utter p***k.

Had a few cans tonight? McCoist is a terrific co-commentator. If you're that upset by the fact he's a prod or a former Rangers player, you might consider looking a little closer to home for your doses and pricks.

Only seeing this now, cos you're such a boring tosser. No, bottles, don't drink cans generally. In what f**king universe is McCoist a 'terrific' co-commentator? Just a repetitive, boring bastard. I never mentioned religion, you did.

I can't listen to Clive Tydesley anymore. How long was he been waiting to use the line "It's Orange Juice time.Time to rip it up and start again" as regards hand ball rule in box. And that useful idiot McCoist beside him. It's worse than pathetic. f**king w**ker.

Quote from: galwayman on June 29, 2024, 09:00:16 PMHonestly I could not see that second half performance coming.
Only a quarter final of course but probably one of my proudest days as a Galway football supporter - and I've seen a lot of them over the past 40 or so years!
Just the sheer guts of that second half display & the fact that I didn't think we had it in us.
With Kelly, Walsh and Finnerty gone off and Comer well held to dig it out like that was a serious effort.
The lads that came in all did their bit to get us over the line.
Dublin probably should have brought it to extra time at the death (which would have been self inflicted with an awful giveaway of possession) but we'll take it!
It kind of reminded me a small bit of the Mayo Dublin semi final in 2021 the way the tide turned in the second half.

Great stuff. Enjoy. Cut out the bad wides and your lads are serious contenders, with the heart they showed in second half.

Brilliant second half by Galway. Some great points.

Quote from: imtommygunn on June 27, 2024, 04:09:55 PMSpillane and O'Rourke were past it. Brolly personalised a lot of stuff and doesn't seem to grasp that you can't continually insult people. He wasn't too bad to listen to but I think the whole thing has sent him over the edge.

Not sure what is best. No Brolly and no Sean Cavanagh would be a good start though.

I think Oisin has about as much time for Harte as Brolly does lol. BBC definitely better than RTE these days.
I don't know are Spillane and O'Rourke past it! They're not that old and are publically very active. Spillane went on bout puke football and O'Rourke said 'a bad smell followed Tyrone football'.. people here were furious but at least it stirred emotion. Is now very wooden.
I enjoyed George Hook too though id say he is getting on a fair bit. Rugby analysis went the same way

Spillane's puke football remark was born out of an arrogant realisation that here was a team from Ulster that wasn't prepared to bend over for the 'great' Kerry. Puke football? Three Sams in five years, one of the great teams of the modern era. Puke football! Aye, laser sharp analysis.

O'Rourke? The boy whose team plays the exact same style of football - only considerably worse - that he spent much of his time whingeing about on RTE? That O'Rourke? The boy who said there was a 'bad smell' around Tyrone football? Have you ever watched the 1996 AI semi final against Meath? And the man who said 'If a player as bad as Brian Dooher wins an AI, I'll eat my hat'. He won three, two as captain. That O'Rourke? Yeah, laser sharp analysis.

Had big Lurch going round in circles, unlike that lily livered dose Clarke on UTV.

As Oddball in Kelly's Heroes, outstanding.

"Woof Woof. That's my other dog impression."

"Always with the negative waves, Moriarity. Always with the negative waves."

"You're a beautiful person, Crapgame."

"I just ride them, man. I don't know what makes them work."
