Tyrone/Monaghan going to penalties

Schkite

Monaghan win the shootout 6-5 after 9 penalties a piece. Mad game.

Hadn't been following it to closely but would Tyrone not have been strong enough favorites for that game ?

Hoof Hearted

Same 5 who hit the first 5 stepped up to take the next set. Is this right and not a soccer thing where you go down to the team

Did that poor cub miss twice, wasn't really paying much attention to numbers

Favourites perhaps but I'm not sure how strong. Monaghan have a pretty good minor group this year

Tyrone were 5 points up with about 3 minutes left. Monaghan levelled with a free with the last kick.

Turned over start of 2nd half of extra time, Tyrone well clear, must folded badly. They not beat Monaghan handy enough earlier on the Yr or was Monaghan in Derry league group.

That was the first game of the league (early March)  when Tyrone beat Monaghan easily.
In this championship Monaghan have come on well since being well beaten by Derry, certainly a very fit team judging by how they swung a 5 point deficit in the 2nd part of ET.
I'd say the final  with Derry will be a lot more competitive than that earlier encounter.
