Was interesting to see him on the line yesterday. Didn't realise he was involved to that extent with Moorefield. I'd assume Glavin must have asked or agreed to him getting involved at least, so he probably has added something to their setup.

Glavin definitely agreed to it. He is a novice manager, only 32 years old, and is a smart guy. The chance to learn from someone like O'Connor is not one to be missed.

When did Glavin stop playing? He was a decent footballer at underage.

Who the f**k ran out and threw that free back from Loman's? Number 20? What the hell was he at! Gave the game away.

Billy O'Loughlin, new DIT manager, idiot. Ref not issuing reds for strikes has already been commented on but Lomans only have themselves to blame for losing the game. Even enough first half that would have been level pegging if Lomans hadn't insisted on kicking out every ball on top of a tall Moorefield midfield. I felt at half time if they rectified that and went short with the kickouts they would be there or thereabouts. Second half there was only one team in it though, it was a brilliant display by Lomans for nearly 30 minutes. They half rectified the kickouts where they started to go short half the time but once they entered the last 5 minutes they lost all sense of composure, sat back and invited Moorefield onto them and went long with every kickout. Crazy, crazy stuff. Thought Sharry and Ronan O'Toole were outstanding for Lomans, disgrace that Sharry was booked for standing his ground and not accepting the blackguarding that was coming his way.

[Edit] Just remembered the first point of the day that was clearly wide from the stands.

O'Loughlin is getting around. He played with Parnells for a year in Dublin

Crokes are the most cynical side I've seen in a long, long time but as they are from Kerry it's glossed over.

They got away with murder against Corofin and Slaughtneil last year with their incessant fouling from the front.

The yerra brigade do a great job deflecting kerry cynical tactics

An Ghaeltacht (Kerry) 3-21
St Senan's (Limerick) 0-8

Is the above scoreline a disgrace? I'm sure St Senan's are a decent intermediate Club. To be shamed in such a way by what is essentially a Senior Kerry team playing in an intermediate competition is just wrong.

Senans would have a decent team. They have Ian Ryan  and Conor Mullane would have played with Limerick. How many clubs in Limerick senior championship?Kerry should have at least 12-16 senior clubs. They will continue to win intermediate/junior championship with the current format.

GAA Discussion / Pat Spillane comments

Disgraceful comments comparing Irish rugby team to Tyrone tactics. Spillane always loves to get a dig at Mickey Harte and Tyrone over the years. Will he ever get over Tyrone beating Kerry in the noughties? It a ironic on a day when Dr Crokes played cynically and tackled Nemo Rangers like rugby players grabbing onto players. Over the years Kerry/DrCrokes have played cynically but Spillane never calls them out

Crokes very cynical. Continuously pulling down players. There were a few nasty incidents in the second half from both teams with Crokes being the main culprits. Gooch got a free near the end for barging straight into a player. Gooch did his best to referee the game, but in fairness the Referee did not listen much to his guff.

An Gaeltacht win the Intermediate Championship. Easy for them given they really play in a Senior B Championship in Kerry. They will more than likely hockey their way to an AI title!

Fair play to referee , he wan't intimidated by Crokes sideline antics trying to influence match officials. A selector running onto pitch at half time to confront referee as well as sideline jumping up and down at every decision. Nemo should have scored at least 3 goals only for excellent saves by Shane Murphy.

Amusing seeing Big Dick calling out the Dublin players for snubbing the Aussie Rules team and the players kicking up a fuss.

Whatever why you cut it, the entire Dublin contingent opting out was a snub so they’d be better served to stop telling people piss is rain and expecting them to believe it. No one likes them to begin with but they’re really giving no one any reason not to dislike them with craic like this.

Going off to Australia to play professionals without any players from our best and only professional side was obviously a bad start to say the least.

So who dislikes this Dublin team?  Can understand people not liking certain individuals. This group are class act on and off pitch unlike some of the Dublin players before them who very arrogant off the pitch. FYI none of these players are professional. All have full time job and off course easier for them to train more as all based in Dublin

Clerkin should have done a bit of research before tweeting. League semi/ finals and B championship have been played since county final which ruled out 7/8 key players who would have been unable to make training for Ireland.
