Jaysis lads if the match is as entertaining as this topic has turned out it'll be some game!

In fairness O'Carroll is not having a great year, but Cafferky was roasted against SO'N for the first half of Mayo Tyrone

I would say that both the Dublin wing backs could make the Mayo team, and Ross O'Carroll, though he's not having a great year....If Cian O'Sullivan is playing at 6, that I'd say 4.

I do think that the Mayo wing backs are class too, both sides probably feel they have the best set

QuoteNo, this bollix doesn't need any journalist to stir shite; he is a master of the art himself.

Amen to that. What a load of paranoid nonsense.....he's not as good at the media management as Jim is....

Would Windows 8 tablets be any good? If Microsoft own Skype now then surely they should be most compatible?

Yes, Casey was on the panel.

Beyond me. Why is he kept there, and why would he stay. Fit lad, but not an abundance of football

GAA Discussion / Re: Dublin v Mayo - AISF

Would agree, although I like the off the ball guys, yer man Murph thinks he's becoming one of the true experts of the game lately. Hunger and a want to win are vital, its not just on the day tho, its the prep and training before that. Both teams wanted to win on Sunday, but Mayo as a unit definitely wanted it more than Dublin did, and got the performance and result that that hunger/want deserved.

Thats a Newstalk trait I'm afraid.
Full of pomposity and their own self importance.
They love to be 'one of the lads' and parading their 'inside knowledge' of the dressing room.

A pair of goms. How anyone can listen to their inane drivel for hours at a time, five nights a week is beyond me.

In fairness Hardy I do like them, they run a good show, and the cover all spectrum of sports in fairness to them. They are usually fairly good GAA supporters but the fact that most (not all!) GAA members believe you should play for where you come from seems to have slipped their mind. Also whoever mentioned Parkinson is right, total clown, and wouldn't be taken seriously in genuine GAA circles IMHO.

Wonder did any of them check this out

Seems like a right bit of traveling from Seanie

I like Off the Ball, but I think McDevitt was way off the mark yesterday, especially around the training ban and then payment to managers. What would have been a much more pertinent question was the Rory Gallagher scenario with Cavan.

In fairness, I think Cavan have every right to query when one of their best players is on the way out, and I think the PRO handled it quite well.

McDevitt seems to be very deferential to certain individuals(any of the regular pundits from any sport), and then in an instance like last night tries to be the hard hitting reporter asking the difficult questions, but it doesn't work that well for him

I wouldn't be a major fan of Val Andrews, I don't think he's been particularly successful with any team he's been with apart from a star studded Tralee IT team, but at the end of the day if he's the manager, then he's the manager, and Johnson needs to knuckle down and buy into that or not play with Cavan until Andrews is gone. Ultimately the greatest strength of the GAA is that you play for where you are from, for the parish and for the Jersey (I realise that this can also be a huge weakness and a stick to beat the organization with too). However even Johnson gets this on some level, as he doesn't want to leave Cavan Gaels, where he is from......

As for the twitter incident Nally, I think you're wrong. you think I am wrong, and I don't think we're going to get anywhere by continuing to argue opposites

Though it's not a case of "thinking" who is right or wrong. It is simple fact. One of the guests on VB last night stated that they directly contacted Sinn Féin and were told that the twitter account Pat Kenny spoke of was not an official account and that Pat's claim that SF were to bring the man in question to the media was not true.

Its like banging my head against a brick wall so here's my last comment on this - and here's an absolute fact Nally, I have a vote, I'll use it, and it won't be for Martin McGuinnes no matter what you continue to perpetuate.

I'm not telling you who to vote for, you referred to the twitter issue, which is the single issue I responded to  :D Your reply which skilfully avoids an explanation as to how you think you are right re Pat's "big moment" on Twitter

I'm obviously learning from MMcG. Not all bad then!

First of all I don't mean Sinn Fein, I mean the IRA, which Martin McGuinness was a member of, and certainly more recently than 30 years ago. I agree that the British Army killed innocents, there is absolutely no question of that, and if there was one of them running there's no way I'd give any of them my vote either. Our Northern brethren always give the "well what about the other side" argument. And the other side were very wrong, just as any killing by the IRA was in my opinion. Take Dana as an example, she is from Derry, she's had similar experiences as McGuinness, and she didn't join any terrorist organisation, and neither did thousands of decent honest people. She would get my vote ahead of McGuinness, who is as someone else mentioned is completely stonewalling any question relating to his past. Similar enough to what Gallagher did last night, he was caught out, he obviously was a fund raiser for Fianna Fail. I'm no fan of Gallagher, and I have said before I think Michael D is the best of a bad lot, but this championing of McGuinness is totally at odds with the sentiments I feel as well as 99% of the people I have come in contact with.

As for the twitter incident Nally, I think you're wrong. you think I am wrong, and I don't think we're going to get anywhere by continuing to argue opposites

The double standards here continue to amaze. Its not OK to be part of a political establishment that messed this country up, but it is OK to be part of an organization that terrorised and killed innocents. Seriously lads, have a look at yourselves.
