There's only 4 teams that'll be there challenging for the championship
1.Port
2.St.Josephs
3.Portlaoise
4.Graigue

and after that the rest are miles behind Ballyroan are after been so successful underage but can't produce it and will never beat any of the top 4 teams. O'Dempseys had the chance but couldn't put Port away. Without doubt there the next two teams after the top 4 with possibly Emo at a push next but after that any of the other teams could beat eachother on different days.

I think you are being a little bit harsh on Ballyroan and ODempseys 😂😂 Ballyroan could of easily beaten Joseph's today and ODempseys could of easily beaten Port last night albeit Port are not as good as previous years at the moment

Could of easily won but did they no? Dempseys could of won last year against portlaois but didn't, Ballyroan thought they were going to turn over portlaois last year in the semi and got beat out of O'Moore park because teams like port and Josephs Portlaois know how to grind out a victory in added time or extra time. Them 4 teams will be contesting the semi finals there miles ahead of the rest of the pack.

I think the weather was a factor and a few sore heads from the celebrating on Sunday night, and there was a great crowd at Killeshin hotel for the real homecoming Sunday so was really Monday a homecoming at all. Great atmosphere Sunday at the game and the big tree pub afterwards was like scenes from 2003 Leinster final win.

Apologies Junior Ex didn't realise it was the 2021 thread

Arles Killeen v Portarlington - Port at a canter
Portlaoise v Emo - Emo to win again
O Dempseys v Killeshin - O'Dempseys easily see off Killeshin Challenge
Rosenallis v BallyRoan Abbey - BA to be way too strong for Rosenallis
Stradbally v Ballyfin - Ballyfin to win this one
Park Ratheniska v Courtwood - I'll go for Park to cause a 1st round shock
Graigcullen v Clonaslee St Manmans - Graiguecullen to easily see off Clonaslee challenge
St Joseph's v Ballylinan - Josephs win

Donnacha Hartnett after transferring to Rosenallis, Massive coup for them, but serious loss for Mountmellick.

James Kelly is an exceptional footballer delighted for him, What is the story of the goalkeeper situation? I wonder now that you we have Bolger and Byron in the goalkeeping positions does that leave the option for Corbett outfield surely worth a shot no?

No change in Ballyroan I'm hearing.

Donncha Phelan joining Ballyroan apparently.
Excellent addition if it proves to be true.

As Manager? Is Clancy gone?

Laois / Re: The Future for Laois Football

U20 "B" Semi-final Wednesday night Na Fianna Og against Rosenallis, for the future of Laois football how the hell can that team be allowed entry into a B competition against the likes of Rosenallis, Killeshin, Ballylinan, O'Dempseys, The Heath proper clubs doing it on there own, I don't mind two clubs possibly joined up and competing in the B competition BUT 4 CLUBS ABSOLUTE JOKE... That team would surely challenge for the A never mind the B and what good is it for them to be winning that competition absolutely none. They only played the u17 A Minor final from 2020 a couple of months ago and put it up to Graiguecullen so play an A minor final and then compete and they will walk that u20 B Competition. County Board or whoever allows this to happen are an absolute joke.

Taking nothing away from Park they absolutely deserved to win that game last night, but not chance of competing at senior level sorry now even against mediocre teams they have 3 or 4 good players but not senior level, Put it this way they wouldn't beat a Clonaslee or Rosenallis or Courtwood the last 3 intermediate champions. i enjoyed the way they had a plan but were talking a different level. At the end of the day this time last year they were still junior and just about scrapped through the semi final and final.

Lets not dress this up mountmelick a town team loads of chimney pots yee are a disgrace but to rathineska well done yee wanted it yee got it I don't think yee will last senior but a great story again mountmelick hang the head in shame

No shortage of mediocre senior teams that park could possibly beat next year if they get the luck of the draw

All they need is a year or two to acclimatise at senior and they will be grand.

They are pulling big numbers out from the town of portlaoise at juvenile which will bolster them further

Gordon didn't have much motoring tonight, MM were awful, Park from the 1st minute dominated the game and were deserved winners, But you would worry about them senior next year. MM will struggle to get out of Intermediate now, Coss coming near his end take him off that team and there very limited.
