I'm not sure if Niall Gartland would tweet that out just now if it wasn't the case. Gartland seems reliable for all Tyrone related news. Seemingly MOR is the only nomination for the job according to the BBC.

Strong endorsement from Morgan is right though. Probably see himself as only having a few years left and wants every chance to get medal no.2

I think this appointment will put us right back in the mix. It will be interesting to see the make up of the backroom team.

Ok I thought Devlin was proposed as well. Aye Malachy looks a cert and Morgan has probably nailed it on now... but he hasn't officially got it... not ratified I mean.

Get the hotels booked for Dublin  next year lads! And I'm not talking for oasis concerts!

Have to say they are getting the best man and am hugely optimistic as well. Expect to see a few returnees...

Brilliant news lads. Grinning ear to ear here

tyroneman

Great stuff, hopefully he is able to put together his first choice backroom team and away we go for 2025.....

The square ball podcast with niall morgan was a great listen. Very insightful in terms of harte, current tyrone team and how respected Peter Donnelly is.

I thought the complete opposite, saying players weren't injured or faking. If he was a real leader he would of called it out at the time. Fella is a complete buffer loves the air time

Suppose we don't know if he called it out at the time or not. At least he said the players were too blame as well instead of saying it was all management. He did say he approached mickey about playing more positively.

Joke of a comment, Tyrone's best all time GK and a hugely committed player

Felt the interview was a good listen, honest without being dickish, doesn't have an axe to grind, just want to get the best out of himself teammates and win big

No denying he is a great GK but I felt the way he spoke about other players who may or may not come back was poor.

Agreed. It was a fascinating listen and confirmed what plenty of us were saying here for years, key examples the team being suffocated by Mickey's micro management (and being beaten after 5 mins because of the system), 2021 happening because the shackles were off, and that they were a rudderless ship from start of 2022 onwards. It was all clear enough looking in from the outside - but fascinating indeed to hear it confirmed. He was harder on himself than he needed to be too because he was part of a very small group whose individual standards didn't drop after 2021. A great listen.

Hopefully we'll get confirmation on the management ASAP and they can get to work on sorting things out. The talent is there.

So Cian O'Neill is leaving Galway backroom team to be head coach of Kerry footballers... does that mean Paddy Tally is on the move? If anyone is in Galbally today can they ask him...

Nah unfortunately not. He's taking up the role of Performance Coach in Kerry.
