Quote from: thewobbler on September 08, 2024, 10:39:39 PMOn a personal level, I cannot think of one thing I've learned, seen or heard in this life, that I would want reminded of for perpetuity.

On an observational level, why every PL player has donated their arms to an unending series of unintelligible scribbles, always has and always will bewilder me.

I really don't get the tattoo thing at all , but  the arms thing is  absolutely mad

A series of  images blended into each other , you  couldn't make out any of it unless you stared  at it for ten minutes,  like one of those magic pictures. Fair  enough, one image .. at least you can  see it, like it or loathe it. But the multiple scribbles.... Very odd
Multiple ndividual small tats like transfers from back in the day seems to be the thing these days. Was it Bazooka Joe chewing gum that had transfers?

I have a couple grand worth of tattoos on my body. I have always been interested in them. I started to get them - other than a couple of small ones- since I got sober. None of them represent or have anything to do with sobriety but having them reminds me of my sobriety as when I was drinking, though I wanted big pieces, anytime I saved for them I blew the money on the booze.

Not as many likes or shares for that

I think tattoos look cool on the lassies. Most people will disagree.

I think there a lot more nose rings on girls nowadays also. Maybe just me noticing it more but seem to be more acceptble these days.

There was a programme on tv where people had a dodgy 'holiday tattoo' and these tattoo artists would change it to something else. The old tattoo was still there but it was incorporated into a new tattoo. Great creativity in some of them artists.

Let's see what it looks like on a saggy piece of skin!

The tr**p stamps look worse still, especially after they have had a kid or two  ;D

Have to agree that tattoos look shocking on women.

It's all or nothing in here. I wouldn't be a fan of a woman plastered in a full sleeve but clearly there are many good looking women with small tattoos on an ankle or shoulder who won't be impacted in later life.

The arms/shoulder tattoos (in particular )  on women are  brutal.

Fascinatingly so, if also somewhat predictable!

What would be an example of later life impact?

And with more than that how would they be impacted?

Briefly considered getting one, then didn't. Don't feel the need.
