That tweet is  similar  to what I've been thinking since I heard about the enquiry

Seems too good to be true tbh. An enquiry won't guarantee  anything.  I believe this high  profile case was chosen as it will probably cost a lot of money. The outcome is already decided, so  the chances  of the real truth surfacing  is next to zero.

Public will go mad at the cost of it , nothing found,  collusion  is a myth. If we can't find nothing with the  police service, who "keep"  files, what chances with paramilitaries who dont have filing cabinets and  correspondence with headed notepaper? Now let's put a stop to this legacy nonsense. Money  would be better spent elsewhere.  We could have built four Casements with the money. Those at the top of the tree sleep soundly, reputations intact. Job done.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic (we always have to treat the Brits with a healthy dose of scepticism) but with Starmer's background there might actually be a slight chance of justice.

Cutting the winter fuel allowance for pensioners smacks of a man that either doesn't get it, or takes his orders from elsewhere, the latter I think, a puppet on an establishment (Tory) string

trial players as much as anything once the points are on the board. Who has really focused on winning the league?
Derry.

Dubs, Tyrone, Kerry, Cork all spent time focusing on it as part of the bigger picture, winning habit and all

Quote from: imtommygunn on September 10, 2024, 03:17:28 PMMcKenna cup very heavily used by ulster teams. It is IMO why teams in Ulster do better at the earlier stages in the leagues.

Leagues are not about winning yes - they're about getting promoted as high as you can and if division 1 staying there.

Jebus wept

Develop a winning culture 101 - don't worry about winning the league, mid table mediocrity will do, hang in the long grass for an ambush

Last 2 winners of Sam came from Division 2

Quote from: Rebel84 on September 08, 2024, 08:09:10 PMDungannon were comfortable as half time approached and a 1-5 to 0-2 scoreline would have been more reflective but that 1-1 at the end of the half gave Donaghmore renewed hope and it was nip tuck the whole way through the second half. Paul Donaghy was well marked from play by the Donaghmore No.3 but he showed great composure for the penalty as a miss would have left Donaghmore only needing to go for a point on that last attack. Overall it was a very good game and you'd feel that Donaghmore are about 2 years away from being proper contenders.

Donaghmore 2 years away from being contenders? Never have & never will. Rarely get beyond 1st round of championship. Too nice. Youth success guarantees nothing. Decent league side - that's all. The people of Donaghmore are more interested in planting flowers and winning bloom competitions. Says it all really.

Ye have to start somewhere

Carmen name on the cup me thinks

Truth be told the Dubs would have given the tans and Greekans a better game

Do Carrickmore get past Dromore tonight?

Nip and tuck but yes

I'm almost sure if you've played a minute of senior or reserve championship this year, you can't play thirds.

Is Niall Kelly back playing for Errigal? Would he be straddling the thirds/Seniors, back up to full speed yet? Hopeful he might make an impact for Tyrone if he can get back to where he was
Playing good football at the minute. Playing more of a marking role this year which is a suprise considering hes been good as a sweeper in the past and his injury. Looks to be getting more contact on now than he was before the injury

Good to hear

Quote from: tyrone08 on September 04, 2024, 08:02:28 PMThe square ball podcast with niall morgan was a great listen. Very insightful in terms of harte, current tyrone team and how respected Peter Donnelly is.

I thought the complete opposite, saying players weren't injured or faking. If he was a real leader he would of called it out at the time. Fella is a complete buffer loves the air time

Joke of a comment, Tyrone's best all time GK and a hugely committed player

Felt the interview was a good listen, honest without being dickish, doesn't have an axe to grind, just want to get the best out of himself teammates and win big

GAA Discussion / Re: Dynamic pricing.

Dynamic pricing set by people or algorithms?

It absolutely stinks to high heaven and is surely on the borderline of breaking consumer protections

You are 1,742,425 in the queue ... the service provider could have this number artificially increased using an army of bots, and as people arrive to buy the algorithm sets a price based on the queue, the bot acts to artificially inflate demand

All a f**king ruse from start to finish
