There's a ladies football team in San Diego I think, Na Fianna they are called. San Diego is a grand spot for summer work too, there's loads of beach front bars in Pacific Beach, la Jolla etc, and a decent downtown area as well.

There's also a few teams in San Francisco, I think Fog City Harps are one, but San Diego and Southern Cal is probably better weather, even though I love San Francisco as a city.

Yeah ive been to both cities before and love both. Prob thinkn san fran at this stage but goin for 3mts and was jus wondering how easy it is to get a job for few wks without one of those j1 visas!

Was just wondering if any of u based in the US or have spent summers there before knew of how to get some summer wrk in bars/beach or anything really for a few wks  based in california?wouldnt mind playing ladies football either if that helps?

i graduated last summer and got a job in my field but have always wanted to spent (atleast) a year away..decided to go at the end of this year but its hard to leave a good job, hearts telling me one thing and head is telling me another  have nothing booked yet..

i think if i used the word "multi-ethnic" people would ask what the hell that meant and id prob end up having to say something like half cast

The Canadian Government are no longer issuing the one year under-35 working visa to Irish people

do you know why this is? or does anyone else know? was thinking of going for a while myself 

USIT said they are not happy about the amount of people trying to extend the U-35  Work Permit.

Your aren't supposed to be able to.

thats a bit strange, surely they would just state at the beginning that it only applies for 12months.end of.

I think the amount of begrudgers of success is ridiculous. She can only defeat who is front of her and fair play to her for being a 3 time world champion.

Katie has also represented (and scored) for Ireland's womens soccer team in UEFA competitions. Great sportswoman

here here.. some of the comments have been disgraceful. the girl is obviously top of her sport, then along come the kill joys. fair play to her!
