To be fair he's objecting on the grounds that the proposal has not been debated long enough. While it may be a bit pendantic it's not as reprehensible as objecting to the actual proposal.

All he's asking really is that the subject is debated and considered in more depth. It's not a request that would be difficult to oblige..

Yep. No locals involved. Travelers have come to bury their dead here after one of them drown in the river there 70 odd years ago. Usually a nice little village with an adjoining forest and river, I know a few locals who understandably aren't best pleased about this carry on.
