Didn't Ciaran McManus score a goal from a ridiculous distance (meaning to do it) in a Leinster championship match near the start of a decade? AZoffaly?

Eoin Bradley scored a great goal in the qualifiers a couple of years back.

Low profile match but Kevin O'Rourke scored a cracking chipped goal for Armagh against Donegal in the McKenna Cup semi final this year.

I only saw this post now Tac, but I'd say you are referring to a thunderbolt against Laois in the drawn game in Portlaoise in 2003. It was a corker. Mac had a fair array of those though, including another rocket against Dublin in a League game that partly saved us from the mother of all hidings. I think we ended up losing by 2 points but scored something like 4 goals in the last 20 minutes.

for me it has to be mulligans against the dubs. was in the hogan stand beside the tv cameras that day and remember it exactly like it is on telly.  he was poor that day and we had just made a substitution and i was shouting for him to be taken off. shows why i don't manage lol

He played Hogan Cup for Jarlath's in 1982 I think and was on the U-21 that won the AI in 1983. I would say he was 21-22.

i can't recall him playing too much either muppett but at club level his was unreal . remember one county final we lost to one of the auld enemies and it was a shootout between Brogan and mc d , brogan got 9 and mc got 8 ( i think) but an unbelievable display from the two boys . it was a privilige to be involved that day
