I work on O'Connell st. In Dublin. Today i was told that the Gardai had been around and require the names dob's and last two addresses off every staff member who works in my building and they are asking in all businesses  along o'Connell st. because of the queens visit.

Do i have any right to refuse to give this information? One staff member said they had a problem with it today but the our manager didnt seem best pleased so he made no more off it.

It has to be a massive waste of tax payer 's money - what will they do with al the junkies around abbey st etc. if she goes down o'connell st.

I am not relgious at all. I don't pray. I never use the expression "you're in my thoughts and prayers" etc.

Was just wondering after a few recent enough threads where i saw this expression used a alot.

Do people actually pray? What do you pray for? do you use the expression above or similar but don't actually pray. What prayers do you say?

Some of the recent stuff is just stuck in my head and not that bad. But it is far removed from the music i generally listen too (plus i just hate the look of them). Anyone else have this problem or a solution? Or even is anyone embarrassed to say they like some group/singer etc. For instance who likes Celine Dion? I haven't met one person ever who likes her/her music...

Some soem reason the last two days i cannot open some websites. They just wont open properly. If i load a page it doesn't load fully but if i disconnect it appears. so on another messageboard i cannot get into the messageboard webpage until i disconnect from the net and then the page appears, i reconnect to the net then click on a thread i want to read and again i have to disconnect before it appears.

Anyone see this before. I also cannot download any anti-spyware etc. those pages don't load either.

Using Win xp and IE8. please someone help. need to watch Notts county on Sky on the net tonight.

Ok, usually this thread starts around new years and i can remember the last few and wondering did anyone successfully keep off any weight and still fit.

I'm 27, 6"3 and 95kg (210lbs/15st). I'm looking to get down to about 85kg (189lbs/13.5st). i hope when i go back to Ireland to play at a decent level for my club.

I'm on a 2 year career break and living in Phuket. I am looking for work as a teacher but have no experience so could be unemployed a while. I am staying in a apt. at for the next month that has a small gym. I have never used a gym before (well at least as an adult).

So to get to the point i am looking for some advice. I am not very fit. I went down to the gym today and i did 4km in 25minutes at 9k/h speed. can hardly do 20 sit-ups.  I want to get rid of my man breast and beer belly especially.

Any advice on what exercises i should concentrate on in the gym? How many times should i go a week? should i run slower and longer or run faster and for a short amount of time etc. etc. i am looking for a game of soccer twice a week so that will help aswell.

i assume i'll get a few smart replies but anyone with genuine advice it will help me alot.
