Was in the China Buffet King in Victoria Square today. Unbelievable. £6.80 between 12pm and 5pm and £10.99 from 5pm to 11pm. Unbelievable selection of stuff. From what I can remember about 15 starters, 20 main courses as well as a big salad bar (never went near it) and up to 10 choices for dessert. Not bad for £6.80. Worth a visit when you have plenty of time to eat and do it properly.

QuoteAnyone been in the restaurant of the new Fitzwilliam Hotel yet?  If so, any good?

That's where I'm staying balladmaker - booked the restaurant for the friday night as we'll only be arriving then so looking forward to it.

My sis and her husband loved the restaurant but it was very quiet - it was midweek though.  They thought it was pretty reasonable for a nice meal.

Hope you got a good rate Declan, just got our corporate rate through today so if you're paying more than £130 a night bed and breakfast, let me know.

I've a car parking space in the Europa Hotel car park, I'll sublet it for the weekend  :P

Strange name for an Indian. Most Indians taste the same to be honest and the menus replicated wherever you go so I don't think I've ever had a really bad experience - Chinese is a different matter! If anyone knows of an Indian that serves chapati instead of naan then let me know!

armagh leg-end

anyone ate in the new dukes hotel yet?

Chalco's on Lisburn Road ( beside Ryans Bar) is a small but VG Mexican - better value than Boojum and it's the genuine home-made stuff. Not exactly palatial surroundings but tasty- BYO.

Heading up tomorrow evening. Where would you get a good fed on a Friday evening around 5.30pm, that won't take all evening.
