I hear the reason the NI game was played on Saturday night in ridiculous conditions was that a postponement would have meant them having to play the game on Sunday and the IFA is the only football authority in the world that bans football on the sabbath day. It would also have meant the bbc having a sports programme on a sunday, possibly incorporating the ulster club semis, and that's banned too.
